- The college is situated in a really good location and it provides a really relaxing and calm enviornment for the students while going through the hardest course possible
- The faculty here is really supportive and programs like mentorship programs shows students to share their problems and seek for solutions from their respective mentors.
Dislikes
- There's not a lot of hangout spots for the students outside of the campus as it is located on a highway, and the restaurants outside the campus doesn't offer a lot of variety.
- The hostel mess food is really average and the food is basic with no special dishes. Mess food is not up to mark, being the only downside of the campus.
Remarks :
The College's location is perfect and ideal for students coming from big cities, it is far away from traffic and congestion and overcrowding. It is situated amidst thousands of trees inside the campus alone and in middle of farming belt, this provides a calm, relaxed and zen enviornment for the students to study the hectic portions of MBBS. The College's professors and staff are honestly really supportive and encouraging, they encourage the students to approach them and clear any form of doubts or uncertainties. They even encourage and try to find any problems the student's are facing and go to unbelievable extent to fix it after taking them into consideration and taking appropriate actions for the problems faced by the students. The students are made into groups and alloted a faculty for their doubts and queries, there are special remedial classes offered for students if required and requested by the students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Medical course in itself is really a huge and vast field and it is necessary for students to have an optimistic view on the course by the students. In this course there's annually three formative assessments, three internal assessments and one final exam/University exam. The students are supposed to secure a minimum of forty in both theory and practical and a combined aggregate of 100 to attain eligibility for appearing for final exams.
Internships Opportunities :
Medical is five and half years course which includes a mandatory one year of internship which every students is obliged to complete. The internship is complete 365 days of course, which is taken under by the college itself in their hospital, the college also pays the students a stipend of fifteen thousand per month while they are going through the internship phase. The students are allotted various departments during this phase of internship which they're supposed to finished working in.
Placement Experience :
Generally MBBS students choose to write the entrance exam for PG, and continue their course in post graduation, they take up an exam called NEXT to get a post graduation seat in various colleges in various branches according to the student's performance, ranks and marks. Factors again like reservation comes into play here too.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Adichunchanagiri institute of medical sciences College offers 3 categories of seats, being government seat, private seat and management seats. These seats are allotted by the government according to the student's performance, scores and ranks in the NEET examination. Government category of seats has a cut-off around 540/720 (in NEET 2022), and the fees being around 1 lakh and 60 thousand. The private category of seats has a cut-off of around 230/720 and fees structure of 18 lakhs+45 thousands (library fees, lab fees, traveling fees). The seat allotment may and does vary according to the reservations, the number students appearing for the exams etc. And lastly the management seats did not take the NEET marks or rank into consideration but the fees is slightly higher than normal at around thirty five to forty lakhs per annum. The number of these categories of seats also varies in different colleges.
Campus Life :
The college has got a huge campus of around 30 acres in total and has as many as thousand plus trees, and it is far from traffic as seen in big metropoliton cities. The college has got calm and relaxing environment for students which is a really indispensable requirement for them in a hectic course. The college hospital has got a really good patient inflow with various type of patients conditions and diseases allowing for students to get exposed to a huge learning opportunity. The college being located in a rural setting allows for instilling of selfless service character development in the future doctors that is really an important charcter for a medico to develop.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel offer three sharing rooms, two sharing rooms and single rooms as per the student's wish and will, and the fees for it differs respectively. It ranged from eighty six thousand upto one lakh and forty thousand. But the hostel mess food is just just average and not really highly appreciable. It is as good as (good enough to be edible) category.
