Remarks :
This college is semi govt , so we dont have to write any test for admission but if your marks are low at your board exam then yo might not be selected to take that subject as your major . This College Union Christian College also known as UCC is surrounded by a lake call Umiam . The place looks so beautiful and its not a polluted place and no vehicles sounds are there to be disturbed , student can concentrate on their studies
Course Curriculum Overview :
college provides many orientations and program on career councils , they are very much concern about the students future and understands the students . Exams are held twice early , and the tests are commonly done as a practical .
Internships Opportunities :
there is no internship available in this college , but as per the NEP2020 education system , everything is taught with the course , eg. like mushroom cultivation , baking , web designing etc. this will help in future very much
Placement Experience :
no , placements or job opportunities are not provided in this college but will help you their best to get you the best life settlements . after getting my degree i will be appearing the civil servants exams
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
fees are different for the day scholars and for hostelers , for day scholars it is cheap compare to hostelers . and Scholarship an be applied for the eligible students . the amount of scholarship depends on the state wise . the scholarship is NSP . The amount for the hostelers is high because they have to pay mess fees.
Campus Life :
The most attractive about this college is the campus , pupils are from different northeastern states . after the classes are over students can play any sports according to their interest . except for the hockey , there is basketball, volleyball, football and their is an indoor stadium where you can play indoorgames
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are very clean but some hostels are very old , hostels have wifi ,there are workers who comes and sweep and clean the dustbins everyday . hostel food are given twice a day , first breakfast will be provided from 6.45 am to 7.45am and lunch meal is provided from 10 am to 12pm and dinner is provided from 6.45 pm to 8pm . dinner is always with meat or fish and eggs followed by schedule .

The employment rate of my course is demanding so I opt this. Also there is campus opportunity for some courses available in the college. After biotechnology you can choose any profession like professor researcher etc .

Job opportunities from our college is not quite good, but our college is renowned for their excellence in commerce so employability after completion of course is not a big issue especially for me, i personally would like to get involved in financial sectors

Since it's a college affiliated under NEHU, so there's only graduation course here. But if you want to do masters you have go to NEHU for that. Only then you will get a good placement. But I had friends in other departments they were given the opportunity to sit for placement interview but again the package isn't as high as someone would get after post graduation.

The package differed from student to student and they were offered individually to them so it was hard to know the exact number.

But as I’ve heard from my seniors, the placements here are quite good and many of the students grab the placement opportunities that are offered here.
