There's just one entrance exam. But if you score good like 95% or above in your H.S then you have a high to get direct admission. Also you have to be very quick with the admission processes because a lots of students used to give entrance there (especially if you not a khasi). When I gave the entrance approximately 80-90 students gave entrance but just few got selected and few were given admission directly.
Faculties were very much amazing . You won't feel the generational gap with them. They will guide you throughout not just academically but if you need any help in your personal life. Also what I found very nice about the faculties is there were not biased atall. Me being non local I never felt any discrimination.
No, I haven't as I said mostly students after passing out would opt for post graduation, likewise I did the same. Only Social Work students can have post graduation degree there . For there students it's only a degree .
Since it's a college affiliated under NEHU, so there's only graduation course here. But if you want to do masters you have go to NEHU for that. Only then you will get a good placement. But I had friends in other departments they were given the opportunity to sit for placement interview but again the package isn't as high as someone would get after post graduation.
During the admission you it was 16,000 + other expenses (like library card etc etc) so total it was approx Rs 20,000. But as you get promoted to other semester the fees gets a little higher (like 2k - 3k). It's very affordable.
During my admission I was doing the campus tour of 2 other colleges and this college being not my first choice, my mind changed as soon as I entered the campus, this college has the best campus life. You have 2 canteens, 1 cafeteria, 1 library etc with an amazing view. Like you won't regret any bit if you take admission here.
I didn't opt for college hostel. I was staying with my friends. But there's college hostel as well but the only thing is it's a bit in the stricter side. I mean of course it's afterall it's a campus hostel. But discipline is must there.
There is no placement cell in college, but i have planned for NORCET EXAM and NCLEX for job in foreign country and in the meantime i will join any private hospital which pay me good money and along with it i will prepare for NORCET
Placements are mid , my seniors got placed in various companies, and last year a seniot got placed in google with 20LPA i guess , the average package is low but the placement cell is trying to bring companies
The employment rate of my course is demanding so I opt this. Also there is campus opportunity for some courses available in the college. After biotechnology you can choose any profession like professor researcher etc .
no , placements or job opportunities are not provided in this college but will help you their best to get you the best life settlements . after getting my degree i will be appearing the civil servants exams
Job opportunities from our college is not quite good, but our college is renowned for their excellence in commerce so employability after completion of course is not a big issue especially for me, i personally would like to get involved in financial sectors
Placement opportunities were not directly available but many companies and institutions scouted our students through seminars and programmes for further job after the degree. The package differed from student to student and they were offered individually to them so it was hard to know the exact number.
80% placement is sure 100% sure 23k for the new minimum it is 4 to 5 lakh package which is amazing as a fresher and the PG rooms is also good idli do output percentage of students getting plus mint and criteria is from the website.
The Criteria differs from department to department .some of the visited recruiters are Sbi,cisco,Pnb etc. Hight is 14lpa and lowest is 4lpa The percentage of the students getting placements should be 80%and above. MA
Since I’m still under graduation , I don’t know much about the placements here. But my plans after my graduation is to persue MBA from a good university. But as I’ve heard from my seniors, the placements here are quite good and many of the students grab the placement opportunities that are offered here.
