- I like everything about the campus, the girls and the faculty. Edmunds has one of the prettiest girls. Its a fashionista college where everyone dresses up everyday.
Dislikes
- I hate the clerks in counter 1 and 4 and the clerk in the library
Remarks :
The campus, the faculty and prestige of the college. It is one of the best college in Shillong. With a history of over decades. There were no interviews or group discussion. The admission was purely based on merit system
Course Curriculum Overview :
Economics is one of the best course. It is the queen of all subjects. There is many potential. And it provides vast amount of scope for employment opportunities. The faculties are doctorares and so they are highly qualified. Semester exams are held on june and December. Mid terms are held during april and october
Internships Opportunities :
I havent opted for any internship program in this college. So i have not a clue in the interships. I will come back later and review again with more knowledge about the internships programs. And we barely get enough time
Placement Experience :
There are placement by banks for clerk and all. There are not much internships provided. But there are some. It's not much. Sometimes you have to pay for the internship. Sometimes you get paid. Internship are scarce.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Semester wise we pay 16k for all the exam fees included. Mostly arts have the same fee structure. But for science their fees varies, some is around 20 to 27k and for biotech reaching upto 40k. Schorlaship we get only the one provided by state govt and central govt.
Campus Life :
Edmunds is the only college in Shillong with football field. Besides it there are basketball, volley and batminton court too. There are four canteens. All the books necessary for the semester are provided in the library with a maximum lending capacity of four books and fifteen days. There are many clubs including nss, anime, music, ncc, etc.

There is no placement cell in college,but i have planned for NORCET EXAM and NCLEX for job in foreign country and in the meantime i will join any private hospital which pay me good money and along with it i will prepare for NORCET

Placements are mid , my seniors got placed in various companies, and last year a seniot got placed in google with 20LPA i guess , the average package is low but the placement cell is trying to bring companies

The employment rate of my course is demanding so I opt this. Also there is campus opportunity for some courses available in the college. After biotechnology you can choose any profession like professor researcher etc .

Job opportunities from our college is not quite good, but our college is renowned for their excellence in commerce so employability after completion of course is not a big issue especially for me, i personally would like to get involved in financial sectors

Since it's a college affiliated under NEHU, so there's only graduation course here. But if you want to do masters you have go to NEHU for that. Only then you will get a good placement. But I had friends in other departments they were given the opportunity to sit for placement interview but again the package isn't as high as someone would get after post graduation.

Placement opportunities were not directly available but many companies and institutions scouted our students through seminars and programmes for further job after the degree. The package differed from student to student and they were offered individually to them so it was hard to know the exact number.

80% placement is sure 100% sure 23k for the new minimum it is 4 to 5 lakh package which is amazing as a fresher and the PG rooms is also good idli do output percentage of students getting plus mint and criteria is from the website.

Since I’m still under graduation , I don’t know much about the placements here. But my plans after my graduation is to persue MBA from a good university. But as I’ve heard from my seniors, the placements here are quite good and many of the students grab the placement opportunities that are offered here.
