My wonderful college experience so far
Likes
- The college infrastructure is just so homely and cozy. The outside garden the open auditorium the basket ball court and many more serves as a happy place for the students to get a relief from our everyday classes and enjoy with our friends and chill out. The atrium, the libraries and the classrooms also serve as a very good place for group discussions and group studies before our exams.
- The campus like is just so much fun. Although there are groupisms between the students which is quite normal but alll the students are very helpful and very interactive when it comes to team work. This is an anti ragging college thus there is nothing for the new freshers to fear as they enter the college. Those who rag other students will strictly be thrown out of the college.
- The faculty also are so helpful and guides us and teaches us in a very each and interactive way. Apart from just them teaching the faculty also includes seminars and presentations that is to be prepared by the students and presented to class thus enhancing our skills and bringing out the best from us and also pushes us off from our little bubble of comfort.
Dislikes
- There is nothing much I dislike about the infrastructure of our college but I do suggest that I’d be better if there were seating in the outside of the blocks where we could sit in the open space and also having a badminton court would’ve been so much better
- I am not sure if I dislike anything of the faculty or the campus life here it’s just too good in my opinion
Remarks :
I chose this college as it was referred to me by most of my relatives who lived in kochi. They claim that this college is one of the best here without any unnecessary fights or political strikes involving between the students creating a happy and healthy environment for the students to study. I overall love all the facilities and additional classes by inviting professionals offered by our college which helps us to improve our knowledge way beyond what our course offers. many programs and events are included in our college helping us to bring out our true potential and boosting our confidence. In academical aspect we have three exams conducted per semester that is first an internals of 40 marks Nextly models of 80 marks and last and most importantly the semester examinations of 80 marks . All of these exams are timed very well and our faculty helps and guides us throughout.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course BSC psychology as I had an interest to the subject whilst in 11th grade . When I heard that this prestigious college offered the course I wanted u rushed in to book my seat. All our amazing faculty here have all done their masters in psychology and most of them have completed their phd too. They are very skilled and well versed in the course and helps us whenever we need them. They also encourage us to perform well not only in our studies but also in various others activities thus boosting our confidence ability and knowledge. The internals and model exams are prepared by our faculty and all the exams are conducted in accordance to our academic goals. The final semester exams are conducted by the mg university which is pretty easy to us as our teachers have trained us to prepare accordingly thus preparing us very well for the examination.
Internships Opportunities :
I have completed a 10 day internship in a psychology clinic in Palarivattom during my Onam holidays. The college offered its full support and help. Various other internships opportunities are offered by our college by the end of our second year encouraging us to get a hang of the field work and not just the theories that’s be learned during the classes. These opportunities help us to get an in depth knowledge of our course and teaches us how to handle such cases in real life. And in addition to this we are allowed to do how much ever internships whenever we want during the give holidays by our college
Placement Experience :
Placements are however not offered for our specific course but a lot of placement opportunities are given for the students of the other courses like BCom bba bca etc… to reputed companies like EY, TCS etc…
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I’ve opted for the course BSC psychology (which wasn’t mentioned in the options given before) and our annual fee structure is 70000 per year that is 35000 per semester. It is comparatively very affordable. Every student will be asked to pay a caution deposit of 10000 at the beginning of their course which will be returned back to them after they finish the course ( unless you damage the college’s property ). One of the best scholarships out of the many scholarships offered by this college is the merit seat or merit quota. Those students getting in to the college in merit seat would only have to pay an amount of 25000 per semester that sums up to just 50000 an year. Add on courses are also offered every summer to which we must pay an additional amount of 6000. The add on courses are very interesting and boosts our knowledge real well. Additional fees like lab fees and other fees keeps changing every semester but it’s never more than 2000
Campus Life :
The annual undergraduate fest of our college is called the aroha and it is usually conducted in during the month of January and the fest for the postgraduate is called the sikhar and is usually conducted in the month of February. These fests are so much fun. There are a total of three libraries in our campus filled with both educational books which will enhance our knowledge about our course and also books like novels and fictions to boost our imagination. Most of the classrooms have projectors and white boards as a source of teaching. Sports and other activities to promote health and well being is also included in the curriculum. An annual intra sports fest is conducted every year where students compete and win prizes with each other. There are various clubs present within each course which then the students of each club initiate and conduct various programs for the students of other courses .
Hostel Facilities :
There is a ladies hostel provided with the campus which is very very helpful for us. The fees for an ac room is 42000 per year and for a non ac room it is 30000 per year. Each room will have 4 students each mostly of the same course. Mess is also within the college campus and to be very honest I expected the food to taste real bad but to my shock the food provided is actually very good for it being hostel food. Every three months there is a mess meeting conducted where we have the choice to bring in suggestions and change the menu. All the hostel facilities and pretty good. There is a curfew too in which all the students must get in within the main gate by 8 pm and inside the hostel by 8:30 pm after dinner. The hostel opens up at 6 am in the morning. The is also a gym provided within the campus which opens up for the ladies in the morning from 6-9 and for the men in the evening after classes from 3-6.there is also a hostel for the boys which is outside the campus but nearby

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
