- The college has impressive infrastructure with modern facilities that enhance the learning experience . The classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors , making lectures more interactive . The laboratories are well-maintained and provide the necessary tools and equipment for practical learning , which is crucial for engineering students . The library is another highlight , filled with a vast collection of books , journals and online courses that help us with our studies.
- Campus life in CMREC is vibrant and lively . There are numerous clubs and student organizations that allow us to explore our interests outside academics . The college organizes various events including cultural fests and technical workshops , which promote student participation and help in developing soft skills . The atmosphere is friendly and supportive , making it easy to form lasting friendships and connections I myself have a group of friends together since 1 year .
Dislikes
- The scheduling and timing of exams. Many felt that the semester system is quite short , which lead to pressure and insufficient time for preparation
- maintenance of infrastructure While its generally good , but some facilities may require maintenance .
Remarks :
After I got my EAMCET results , I was actually confused which college to select . Then i got to know about some college fair held near my place so I visited to see the college options and all. That's where I first got to knew about CMR ENGINEERING COLLEGE. CMREC is known for its strong academic environment and qualified faculty. The fee structure is affordable compared to other colleges. The college has good record of placements with several students securing jobs in companies and placement training is also provided by the college. It has an excellent infrastructure with well-equipped labs, classrooms and other facilities like canteen , free wifi etc. The primary mode of admission is through EAMCET based on ranks. The cut-off for admission ranges between 40,000 to 45,000 depending on the branch and number of seats available. Some negative aspects like location is far from the city and the quality of companies visiting for placements can be improved
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum at CMREC is quite practical and up-to-date with industry trends , especially in fields like COMPUTER SCIENCE and AI . We get to study subjects like data structures , AI, ML and club activities like robotics , coding etc help us gain hands-on experience. The professors are well-qualified , many holding advanced degrees but i personally think some of them doesn't teach properly like we can't easily understand what they are trying to convey. But leaving some everyone is teaches in a way that's easy to understand. The exams are held on time given by JNTUH but the short semester can feel a bit rushed. I choose COMPUTER SCIENCE (AIML) because it's very relevant to the job market right now and the curriculum prepares us well for future careers.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placements include a good academic record and participation in training programs offered by college. In recent placement season , over 100 companies visited campus , students received offers from notable recruiters like Accenture , capgemini ,Infosys, TCS, and Microsoft. The highest package offered was 44 LPA while the average package is 6 LPA. The college also emphasizes preparing students for placements from their first year , which includes training sessions to enhance their employability skills. Many students also benefits from internships , with more than 2000 internships opportunities available during the course. we have a training and placement cell that conducts mock interviews and sessions to prepare students. My future plans after graduation depends . If i get a job in a reputed company with high salary then I will continue with my job and will think about pursuing M.Tech.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
CONVENER QUOTA (general students):75000 per year. MANAGEMENT QUOTA: Around 1,00,000 to 1,50,000 per year, depending on the branch . SC/ST/EWS : Fee for these EWS may be reduced with 35,000. While SC/ST category gets full fee reimbursement. These again depends on the rank you get in EAMCET. OTHER FEES: Admission fees : included with first year tuition fees . Lab fees and Library Fees : Nearly 10,000. Transportation fees (Bus facilities) : 45,000 , varies . Stationery: For first year students they will provide text books lab manuals , records and few note books in around 8000 . It may vary. From second year , we just need to purchase records that cost around 1000. And for other text books we have library facilities I got my seat through EAMCET counselling, though my rank was low(around 80k) I got a full fee reimbursement in BC-E category . While my friends with EWS category got 35000 scholarship . Total B.TECH degree under general category is approx 3,00,000 for entire 4-year course
Campus Life :
CMREC is popular for its events. The campus has great infrastructure with spacious classrooms, labs and a big auditorium for events. The library is stocked with lots of books which are super helpful for studying . There are several clubs both technical and cultural where we can join ,participate and enjoy . Main Fests held in CMREC are JANUARY - Freshers and sankranti fest FEBRUARY/MARCH - Technical and cultural test APRIL - Annual Day October - Bathukamma and dandiya fest and there are more fests that happen in CMREC. Sports like basketball, football, cricket ,kabaddi and board games are given many opportunities too . They participate in inter college competitions and also won many medals .

The campus placements are good and there are companies coming in every year for fresh talent but it all comes down to our talent. We are provided with an opportunity but we have to work for it ourselves.

Students who maintain a good academic record and possess strong technical and communication skills have better chances of getting placed. Generally, students with no active backlogs and a minimum academic percentage as specified by the recruiting company are eligible to participate in campus placements. A few recruiters visit the college for hiring, mainly for entry-level roles in software, IT support, and core engineering domains. However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
