Remarks :
I joined the college through KCET exam. I got a rank of 65000. I wanted to join a college with best teaching and best placement rate . I have top 3 college in manglore which had best teaching and placement , in which CANARA engineering college was one . Canara has a best bunch of faculties who support students with studies cultural activities and sports. The cutoff for the course computer science and business system was around 70000 . I got canara at my first round itself.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because it was new and unique. It's not less than computer science course but this course have more to learn about business system and data analytics etc. The facilities available in canara for Computer science and business system are very professional lectures with high level knowledge on the topic they teach . They prepare. power point for every topic . The facilities here are very supportive in all sorts of activities and events. We have a TG( Teacher Guide) for every 10 students who look after their marks in each test and help them to score more. Exam in canara are held in 3rd and 4th months after the semester starts. The exams are moderat which helps alot in semister.
Internships Opportunities :
All the students get a chance to an internship in their 3rd semester onwards. The senior told that they had a great learning experience in their interships. We have a Training,career Guidance and placement (Tand P) cell that helps us to prepare for the industry.
Placement Experience :
To be placed in a good company we should have no backlog and should attain a CGPA above 6. There are number of companies which visited college such as Infosys ,TCS, cognizant ,sasken ,VMware ,hexaware ,SAP Labs , robosoft etc. The average package in the college is around 3.5 lakhs pa. The highest package is around 17-18 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed are 90% . My plan is to get a good job with campus placement with a package around 10-12 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly we have to pay a fee of 104265. I came through KCET . If you are going to enter through management. The fee will be around 235000 per year(excluding bus fees). Here we get scholarship of NSP and SSP. May of my friends have got the scholarship. The bus fee(if necessary)is around 20,000 to 30,000 depending upon the pickup point.
Campus Life :
We have many fest but we conduct a state level fest called AAKRITI . It mostly happens in March April. We have a very large library with many books and last year question papers etc. We have a store in college itself for books stationary etc. I have been selected for Vtu cross country 2023-24held at shravana belogola and VTU state level athletics 2023-24 held at Mysore. We have a Physical director who is very supportive not only I'm athletics but in all kinds of sports . We have obtained about 20 gold and 15 silver medals in the year 2023-24 . Lecturers support in extracurricular activities , we obtained 1st place in VTU belagavi at dance performance.
Hostel Facilities :
My friends have opted for college hostel and he is satisfied by the hostel . We have 2 canteens available in campus. The food quality is very good and there are variety of foods available in the college. For hostel the fee is around 50000 to 60000 for a year . There are many PG available near the college with a walkable distance.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
