- Talking about the campus life which is excellent. The overall campus is overwhelming with its location along with ith ambience inside the college. The college hostel lifestyle is so good and very cheap in order to fullfill every students meal. There are also so many private hostels which are a part of the home which make the social interaction between the students and the society much more easier. The night life around the college is dangerous as there are wild animals around that area which make night drives even more terrifying.
- Faculty members of my department is so friendly that even they act as friends when in need. Their knowledge about the subject they study is very good especially the senior faculties have wide areas of knowledge. Prashanth sir who teached me in 3rd semester is a typical example of faculty who knows the concept along with a superb style of teaching and making things understandable to students
Dislikes
- The main problem is the night life of the college which is very dangerous because of the wild animals present in that area. The locality is full of senior citizens who cannot tolerate the students atrocities which makes a part of the hostel life somewhat tedious
- The bus facility near the college is very poor there is only bus at irregular intervals if any student misses a bus infront of the college then the students have to walk 2km to reach a bus stop where bus facility is available. College bus facility is also boring when we opt for college bus then there is no campus life enjoyment.
Remarks :
The factors that made me to chose to choose this college is that 1st ) its one of the top 10 college in kerala 2nd) easy transportation is possible 3rd) my place of residence is in 10 km range with the college location There was no group discussion or personal interview to get admission. Admission is based on the entrance exam named KEAM then students have give the respective college they want in the allotment. The maximum possible cut off for getting into this college is that you should be below 20 k in the rank list made by this exam organization. The good aspects of this college is that 1st) campus vibe is superb 2nd) social interaction is good as there are many private hostels 3rd)the landscape where the college rests is mind blowing The bad aspects of this college are 1st) the classroom will not give you the exact college vibe 2nd) the semester organized by the university is very congested
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is good . Our curriculum a bit old 2019 scheme . The questions are based on varios level that is co 1, co 2, co 3. These are based on the difficulty level and the their expected course outcome . The spacing of the semesters and the exams by the university is very congested which makes the scenario even more worse . The faculties teaching have a great knowledge especially the senior faculties. But mostly these faculties indulge in the class hours less often and ask guest faculties to indulge in the class hours . My academics is going well till now . At present i dont have any back paper but there is a chance of getting back paper in future . Currently i have a cgpa above 7.5 . The reason why i chose this course is that the future is highly based on electricity and i want to indulge in a way to understand and resolve various problems related to electricity along with meanwhile trying to find new way to produce this energy
Internships Opportunities :
I have opted for internship in kseb which was a paid internship in which students have to pay a certain amount of fee to spend time for students from their busy schedule. Various internship from v guard has also been provided in which stipend will only given to few of the students who gave quality ideas and come in atleast one of the 3 position from the first . The internship opportunities with stipend are only open to 6th semester and above students,since i am in currently in the 5th semester i didn't have a chance of getting intership with stipend. Various opportunities are available on the basis of idea pitching contest in order to short list a handful of people .
Placement Experience :
For placement the visiting companies set up cut off on the basis of mark to filter out students . The cut off set by the companies is around 7 cgpa also they will arrange group discussion in order to filter out students one more time. The mostly visited recruiters are alstom, tcs, larsen and trubo,..... The highest salary package offered by is 12 lpa and 14 lpa on an average salary package offered is around 4 lpa . Almost half of the students from each department gets placed yearly on various sectors. The overall percentage of students placed from my department is 68%. My main plan is to get into any propable job and pursue other modes of studying to get more expertise in the field . Otherwise doing a 6 month course on entri app to get much of the insight on this field .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
When i entered this cource the amount per year the college stated was 10k. But now day by day its increasing the amount needed for a year has reached 15k. The tution fee is almost 3-4k per semester and registration fee is almost 2- 3k per semester. The scholarship are available for students that got admission by means of merit. The PTA fees is a must for taking the admission. There are various type of scholarships available for students some are E-grantz scholarship -10k per year Central sector scholarship - 12k per year Mcm scholarship - 2500 for 10 months There is also a provision to EWS students who have applied for any state level scholarship then their fee will be under expense of the state. They also have a benefit that if any student gets more than 1 back paper then the amount for writing two of the back paper will be given by the state government. But they will not get any amount in their account but all their expenses will taken by the state
Campus Life :
Campus life of the college is excellent there are various places to visit around the college. The facilities in the college is very good except the auditorium which was constructed in ninety's . Feast will be organised in each hostel once in an year in which all the delicacies is present and student can choose the items the like in the feast . The social life in the college is very good as there are various clubs like ieee, iei, iste,tecs,nss which will make students social interaction more strong. The re are 3 blocks in the college namely main block, alumini block,new block the infrastructure of the last block is average based on the students request they are trying to improve the facilities. The library offers varities of books for all the departments present in the college. They also allow students to take books for 2 weeks and if they do not return with the specific date a small fine will be levied .
Hostel Facilities :
I am not a hostler as a resident of palakkad i am comfortable in coming home everyday. I will share my experience about hostel . There 2 types of hostel college hostel and private hostel . College hostel has a cut off upto certain amount mark or else u should not have any back paper in order enter the college hostel. The food in college hostel is very cheap it will cost students atmost of 120 rupees per day for a 3 time meal along with some snacks . Private hostels have fixed hostel rates also these hostels offers students variety of opportunities to take the meal from various suppliers or from that hostel mess itself . I recently stayed with my friends they are PG near the hostel ( opposite NSS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, ATHIRA NAGAR, AKATHETHARA).

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
