- The college is vast and the exposure you get is good
- the faculty is good compared to other kerala government colleges under kTU. The faculties are also experienced
Dislikes
- There is quite a bit to walk and you never get used to it
- CUSAT is filled with a lot of public people
Remarks :
The college accepts student each year by an entrance exam which is conducted by the university once a year. This college has it's own syllabus which is with par with NITs and IITs. The CUSAT CAT exam can be cracked with a thorough senior secondary knowledge. Time management is very crucial. one has to write a large no. of questions in 3 hours.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose B.Tech Mechanical Engineering as i am passionate about the field and want to make a career out of it. Almost all the faculties are Ph.D holders but college is more about how much you put time into studying than what is taught in class.
Internships Opportunities :
internships are mandatory for engineering students as they have to have some experience of what they learn in class. Students often go to IRS, KSEB and other institutions for internships. First students have to observe what the people do in the industry and learn
Placement Experience :
There are plenty of companies that comes to cusat every year to recruit students. The eligibility criteria is that the student should have no uncleared paper till the end of graduation. Good companies doesn't even tolerate any back papers.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
the yearly fee comes in around INR 1,20,000 per year if you are admitted under all India Merit. It gets lower to under INR 60000 per year if you are admitted under State Merit and goes higher if you are admitted under NRI Merit.
Campus Life :
The Campus is quite large and there is quite a lot to walk. There is a university library which contains a lot of books, All kinds of sport teams are there in the university. there are lots of clubs which students can join.
Hostel Facilities :
The university hostel is allotted to students based on reservations. There is also an option of getting into one as a guest. the hostel fee is INR 500 per month. Food is separately paid (INR 3000). THere are also private hostels whose rent varies from INR 2000 to INR 4000.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech.There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary

Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
