I chose it as the IBS(Hyderabad) is among the top top 30 B schools in India. I got into Hyderabad campus but later voluntarily transferred to Bangalore campus for my friends. Selection process: 1. IBSAT Online eligibility test. 2. Group discussion. 3. Personal interview.
Course curriculum is good, best thing is the case study based teaching which benefits students with the real life world experience, past experiences, corporate horror stories and learn from great successes. Most faculty are visiting who are industry experts but some faculty very few may not seem so knowledgeable. Class presentations and case study discussions may help in soft skills development.
I’ve taken up internship in Bajaj Allianz life insurance company. The role mentioned was all fuss, they train you to sell insurance and a compulsory target is forced to cover from the family and relatives. Learning outcome is the insurance selling and cold calling. Nothing of the level of MBA.
Internships are basic, mostly sales of insurance or stocks. Internships are good but not really attractive. Would suggest to find one from outside. Coming to placements due to decreasing academic quality of students, the company are not showing interest. It’s November and 80% is not yet placed. 20% includes the pre placement offers too. The average has drastically dropped from 10LPA to 6LPA.
Initially to book the seat 80,000 has to be paid further there are 5installments. For each installment 2,25,200 has to be paid. This includes the the books, registration and Tuttions fee. Later for the uniform 5000. Some scholarships can be obtained.
Life at campus is simple not extraordinary compared to Hyderabad campus. It is small yet beautiful campus across 3 acres. There are about 20+clubs (including educational). Library clubs has its own journal too. Class rooms are equipped with acs and fans accommodating 60-70 people easily. Sports club hosts and sends for inter and intra competitions. IBS Bangalore has two big events, Manthan and Tarrkash, other that weekly slots for multiple club events. Photography club is nexus, library club, sports, entrepreneur club and various other clubs.
There is no hostel facility provided by the college, but we can opt various PGs. One I’m in is Radha Prasanna they usually give away flats with 2/3 share for a 1BHK and 3/5 share for a 2BHK. Food, to be honest is just what we expect from any pg, but suits South Indian taste very well. Mess might not seem hygienic but the food taste is good enough to survive. Local restaurants are there but for good restaurant need to travel atleast 4 kms.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
