I chose this college since it's a good choice in Bangalore. I had written a test called JET called jain entrest test . No interviews or gd was taken place . If you pass JET the fees for my course was 175000 , otherwise for management quota it's around 2lakh.
I chose this course because electronics is the future. I think taking computer science is just becoming a part of a herd and a continuous rat race . The semiconductor industry is the leading industry in the world and everything works on chips and electronics , therefore took this course . The faculty in my department are good and qualified. They are very friendly and helped me in all my endeavours. I wouldn't say the same for other departments. Teaching method was based on practical as well as theoretical ways . Exams were every 4 months and difficulty was moderate.
I haven't applied for internships but college does provide a lot of internship opportunities. I didn't get to do any internship because the management didn't allow me to . But now my juniors are doing internship even in 3rd year . Stipend will be around 20k per month. Companies like Accenture take internships .
Eligibilty criteria for placements :: attendence is a must for eligibility. Placements is amazing with companies like delloit , Hitachi, tata , Larson and tubro , Accenture, cap Gemini, mu sigma visiting the college. Lot of my friends got placed in these companies . Highest package offered to my friend is 30 lpa I guess in PayPal as a software engineer. 96 percent of students who applied for placements have been placed . My plans is to join indigo as a pilot after obtaining the degree .
The course fees per year was 175000 rupees and I paid 142000 because I had defence quota . The 4 year fees in general is 7lakhs . Plus every semester exam has its own fees . The fees now has increased a lot and will keep increasing every year.
Life in campus is shit . Literally shit. There are 2 professors who are pro kannadiga , and favour only kannadigas . Club inchargr is one of them and has always been biased towards localities . Outsiders may have problems . This proffesor is favoured even by the director and I till date didn't understand why . If u are a kannadiga , it won't be a problem to do well in clubs . I was in NCC , the most prestigious youth organisation under the ministry of defence, and this professor had physically pushed me when I approached him for club work . There is no proper football ground and no badminton courts . The one there is for jain school since they pay a lot of money . There is a swimming pool but we engineering students can't even access that .
Hostel is great I would say . It is managed by a third party company . Rooms are cleaned regularly and individual rooms have their own bathrooms. Food is also amazing with high standards of quality . Registration for hostel is simple and effective and I would say in terms of affordability it's moderate . I also shifted to a room outside college and the rate of a single 1bhk will be around 10k to 12k monthly . Rooms are available next to college .
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
