i have given JEE to get admission into this college. i want to do BT.Tech in either of NIT or IIT but my main focus is to be in a good branch , thats why i chosed NIT GOA ECE(electronics and communication) branch as its the most coolest branch and mostly offers the highest placements. in my time for obc criteria the cut-off to get ece branch in NIT GOA is around 94% to 96% percentile. and i got 97.5 percentile. i took coaching to clear JEE with good ranking .
i choose ECE electronics and communication branch as its the most chill branch as i heard from the students inside the college before coming here and the placements are mostly highest in ECE branch only. most of the teacher are from NIT and IITs who had already completed their B.Tech, M.Tech , PHD and specifications in their departments. and they teaches very well , deep into the topics. after every 5 monts we used to have End Semesters and every 2 to 3 months we have mid sems, and in question paper 30 % ques are easy , 50% ques are average and rest 20% is difficult.
till now i didn't get any internship as of 3rd semester (2nd year) so i cant say anything about internship but a lot of students go for a lot of different Hackathons around india and mostly score 1st or top 3 positions , making NIT GOA proud and showing their significance they got prizepool too with lots of respect.
eligibility criteria are different for different companies, most of the companies ask for CGPA more the 7.5, top companies for CGPA 8+ while some companies also allows students with 7 CGPA also. the highest package till now is 44LPA while the average package is around 8 to 10LPA 80 to 90 %age students usually gets placed in placements rounds my plans is to get is high paying job with not much hectic schedule having CTC minimum 15+LPA
i belong to OBC criteria and section or group which comes under the income range of rs 1 lakh to rs 5 lakh so i get fee remission of 66 percentage. so after fee refund and remission for 1st semester i paid rs44,000 while for 2nd sem i paid rs38000 for tution fee only. for normal student the fees per semester is around rs64000 means rs1,30,000 per year, for sc or st or physically abled students there is a 100% refund , they just have to pay rs2000 per year. my college also accepts students from outside india( dasa students) for them the fee is little higher around rs3,00,000 per year for tution fee also in dasa , a category is there for weaker section they have to pay normal fees either rs1,30,000 per year.
in january savyaas inter college fest or competition used to happen and before janmashtami UMANG and a lot of small events used to happen from time to time , and NIT GOA has collaborated with SPIE and with TEDx (recently) we have mostly all the books for our syllabus in the Library from where we can issue books accordingly. in classroom we have bench(table, chair attached) projector, speaker , blackboard with chalk and duster. in campus we can play badminton, volleyball, basketball in their respective field with indoor games like carrom, table tennis, chess etc. there are groups for each and every sport as well as for cultural events.
yes i have opted for hostel, but in hostel the mess food is very poor or bad. we can register for hostel and mess through the main website of NIT GOA. for hostel and mess they charges rs 45,000 per sem or rs 90,000 per year per student for every category of student. we get food 4 times in a day , in the morning breakfast from 7:45 am to 9:15 am then lunch from 12:00 to 2:00 pm then snacks from 5:15 to 6:15 pm then at last dinner from 7:45 to 9pm at night
I choosed this course because the course covers all the aspect of commerce field . The teaching method and quality is also very good . We have smartboard in every classroom . All the professors use smartboard to teach . We have 3 isa in which 1st one is compulsorly and in 2nd and 3rd isa we get improvement chance which helps us to score better in term exam as the marks of isa are added in term exam .
No placement is done here . Placement is done only in MBA programs. .
At the end of the 3rd year Campus placement starts and I would like to tell that many 4-5 star hotel come to campus for placements Like TAJ , Hyatt , many airports companies Lowest package was around 2.5L annually and highest was around 6-7L per annum
Placements and internships are good there are two internship seasons named as PS1 and PS2 which is based on our curriculum. During the past 2 years the placements have not been that great because of the ongoing recession. But still companies are coming with less packages and students are getting placed but frequency is less. My plan after the degree is to get some job experience and then I will try to go pursue MBA.
Great ! You can get it easily in your preferred city/country. There are many hotels which are linked to iihm so interships and placements are easily available in your preference. Good fot that reason.
Faculty are very experienced and distinguished personalities they are very knowledgeable in their fields. The course here is very tough. Scholarship is available in 2 channels 1st is merit scholarship, the 2nd is merit cum need scholarship.
Eligibility criteria for placement is 21-22 for the the third year student there is placement after they complete the course the percentage is high so many companies come to our collage and test that they are eligible or not to do work in their company
They also offer on campus placements to crack interview, the eligibility criteria for placement is that you should have excellent Communication skills, and you should clear backlogs, there are 12 recruiters attented for on campus placement and offered a highest package as 8-9 LPA, and lowest package as 5-6 LPA, students who got placements have more than 75%, It's better to have better communication skills to crack an on-campus placement...
On campus placements are offered every year. The highest package last year was around 60 lakh while the lowest was 8lpa. Out of all the students only one student wasn't placed which gives us almost 100% placement rate. Almost all top companies visit our college including Google, Amazon, Facebook etc.
Placements are excellent. Top companies have hired freshers from here . My branch CSE has 100% placement rate and overall all branches have 99% placement rate . Usually students are offered on campus placements so there is no need to go for off campus opportunities
