MCA at GLA UNIVERSITY
Remarks :
Yes, There was an entrance test called GLAET for admission in college although most of the students pass it , as it is based on class 12th mathematics and english . No need to worry about GLAET which can be given online or offline based on your preference. GLA is one of the best colleges if you are from braj region as braj region lacks quality education. Gla is overall good for placement and education in this region. If you're getting other better colleges then you can go there ,you will find better colleges. Here crowd is not that much good most of the students are local from Mathura , Agra and Aligarh region.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course future backup, here most of the faculties are like other colleges just average. But I found some assistant professors very impressive, their way of teaching is just awesome and I don't like missing their lectures because every time I attend their lecture I learn something new. Midterm exams were held just after one month of class so syllabus was 80% of original. Difficulty level was average, most of the students can score average marks even after studying 1 day before exam(If you have attended lectures).
Internships Opportunities :
I didn't opt for any opportunity. Because there criteria was too high. So , I didn't fill form for internship, Adobe was one of them , approx 20-25 students cleared round 1 from 160 students. Another internship was from IBM
Placement Experience :
For first year MCA there is no placement opportunity, as you enter into your 3rd semester campus recruitment begins. Companies come and recruit students but keep in mind some companies prefer Btech over MCA. Mass recruiters like Capgemini , TCS come for recruitment. Average package for MCA is just 4-5 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly tuition fee is approx 143000 , 7000rs fee for examinations , 10000 rs security deposit(refundable) and 1000rs alumni network fee. Scholarship is also available for many through college and up gov, college can decide scholarship based on your 12th percentage and UP Gov provides scholarship for financially weak students who belong to UP. (You can expect approx 50000-60000rs scholarship by UP gov scholarship)
Campus Life :
There are lots of clubs to join like Drishti for photography, Droid for Android and web development, Cybernotics for Cyber security and many more clubs where you can join . Hackathons are activities are conducted from time to time for students. Sports culture is not that much but yeah it is there. Library contains most of the fundamental books for subjects , but most of the times it is crowded and there is no access to international journals for students.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
