The factors were good placement opportunity and this college is having reputation of its own as it is an university in itself and as of for admission process yes there is interview and exams but only for student having percentage below 80 in 12th and yes interview is compulsory for all.
Course curriculum is good by the perspective of an engineering college but yes they still lag when it comes to practical implementations and industry exposure. Faculties are very supporting they even help students in getting internship offers and provide one to one guidance but for that students need to be open to teachers and ask questions about thinga.
Yes I got few job offers with intern plus ppo offer and selected one of them and right now working for the same organization. And I also had interns after my 2nd and 1st year completion in iit roorkee and iit kanpur respectively.
After the completion of second year you can opt for a intern at any organization by yourself as there are 2 months of summer break and college also brings few company but only 50-60 students get intern in them. And for the students who didn't got off campus or in campus intern they can opt for in college industry training program in which college faculties provide special classes and teach different technologies. And around the start of the 6th sem companis start visiting for campus hiring and then you have 3 semester s to land one or more offers for yourself some companies hire students with immediate joining offer as an intern then full-time offer some waits for the course completion. But yes if you are technology geek and have a good industry understanding then you can land a great offer.
The yearly fee was about 150000 for the first year then it increased by 10-15k every year. And yes gla university provides scholarship based on students jee mains rank or 12th percentage. For student having percentage above 80 they provide 25 k fee discount and for students above 90 it is 32 k and there are other government provided scholarship as well.
Campus life is pretty good and there are different kind of activities going on every now and then if students want they can take part in them and enjoy the hell out of them. Infra is also well managed and good as it is a private uni so infra is the best asset they have. There are clubs for all shorts of things and students can start there own club for anything good. They only issue would be the locality in which that college is as it is a bit far from mathura main city to be exact around 15 km.
I never opted for the hostel as I was staying outside at my flat but have a good insight about the hostels as well, they are good ,clean, have different kind of options ac, non-ac and single sharing double sharing and tripple sharing.. You will get a closet and a bed and one table and chair, wifi connection though that is not good as it is a luck based factor if your room is getting proper internet bandwidth or not. Mess food is great in girls hostel this info I got from my friend there and boys hostel food is good but not same as girls hostel.
They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
There are regular placement drives that are conducted on a monthly basis. We have regular updates for campus placement drives that are shared with us and we can participate in them to choose the best options for ourselves.
Galgotias University has a high placement rate with the current tenures placement reaching 5500+ job offers. The highest package was 60LPA and the average goes between 5LPA. B.Tech computer Science engineering is very tech driven field which , by the assistance of new tech driven laboratories, latest generation technology focused curriculum, is very remarkable field to study and progress in.
Placements and job opportunities at Galgotias university are good. Students become eligible according to their course requirements and academic performance. Many healthcare companies and hospitals visit for placements and internships. After completing B.Sc Nursing, my plan is to work in a good hospital, gain experience and grow in the healthcare field.
