I chose this college because it was the best in Mangalore and i was not ready to move out of my city at that point of time. No tests on admission. There was a small councelling kind of thing though. Where i seeked for clarity on pharm D, D pharm, B pharm.
Lecturers all are minimum double graduates. Teaching is fine. Obviously some teachers will not be up to the mark but there are lecturers who are good enough and best as well. Teaching method is classic they either use chalk and board or ppts or from textbooks. PharmD has annual exams only and three internals out of 30 out of which best 2 exam's average will be taken.
Our internship is in our hospital itself. Nitte K.S. Hegde hospital. We don't have to go anywhere else do our internship. There are other colleges that provide pharmD but since they don't have their own hospital they face problems during their internship and it will not be a great experience.
Placements are good. Not great. There are good companies coming to hire students. I know seniors who were placed well. Even if not through college placements we'll get good jobs. Not in Mangalore. Minimum Bangalore we have to go. In abroad there's great scope for this course than in India.
First year I had to pay 2 lakhs 75 thousand, followed by 2 lakhs 65 thousand for the next 5 years. There is no concession on fees for any categories or merit. Yes it keeps increasing I think by 10k for every new batch. Final year is internship where we'll get 5k stypend every month.
For me as a locality I did not face any issues. There will be fests and other celebrations frequently conducted. Library has all the requirements. Classrooms don't have AC. There is internitte tournament on almost all the sports. There is nitte university website and insta page as well. Oh also theres free bus facility, free wifi and free gym forthe students.
I'm a day scholar. I don't know much about the hostel. But as far as I know there are attached bathrooms which is a basic requirement I think. Wardens are ok. Not great. Food is okay. Atleast they don't find dead animals in their food I know.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
