Dislikes
- Quadrangle, not all the wash rooms are good, fests responsibilities are not handed over to pg students
- All the extra curricular activities are done by degree students were as pg students get less opportunities
Remarks :
Yes there was an entrance exam for pg that is CPGET. The exam syllabus was from our ug program itself. And there are book available in the market. Good aspects of the college are good faculty, excellent guidance, smart classes. Bad aspects are not games for pg students, no fests for pg students very strict about attendance
Course Curriculum Overview :
I took an MSc in Microbiology, and the subject itself is very interesting. I don't blame the college, but the subject in which we do the job should be relevant. The subject is good, we gained good knowledge, but the work we are supposed to do is different. Coming to faculty there are many lecturers we interact more with our department faculty only they are very jovial and encouraging to all the students
Internships Opportunities :
I Started working in a Pharma company which I searched myself and I worked as a microbiologist. In a Pharma company - Hiranya Cellulose Products. The gave 3lpa package. But college did not provide any placement or internahipa
Placement Experience :
No placements and no internship opportunities are provided. There is a placement cell but they give placement only to MBA, BBA etc departments it would have been nice if there were placements for science groups too
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We have the total course fee as 44000, But as per CPGET Entrance exam we get scholarship of 20,000 per year which is directly credited to the college. Admission fee is 700, all the tution fee, lab fee, library etc are included in it. Everyone gets the same scholarship every category.
Campus Life :
Many fests were conducted We have a very big library and all the classes we thought were smart classes Sports classes were there both indoor and outdoor, we had very good NSS and NCC facilities only for degree students, outdoor games include football, volleyball, cricket, basketball etc
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel was provided only for non-locals, the mess was not good; no good food was given. It is not tasty. All the facilities were good except the food. Good and spacious rooms they are 4 sharing. It's worth the money

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
