I choose this college at last minute because I had to drop the plan of going to Delhi University. Getting admission was pretty simple, atleast at the time it may changed now, I applied through their website and got a call after 2 days that I got admission and also I had to create a calicut university Id because back then it was under calicut university but now they are autonomous. At the time of my admission the cut off was 70%.
This is the biggest downgrade I've felt in the college and this review is only for my department which is BCA & BSc computer science. The curriculum was around 10-12 year old everything thing was the most basic things, you won't get any programming skills pursuing this course I can guarantee you that, at the end you may have degree and nothing else. Now about the faculty, none of them knows what they are teaching and what the industry needs, most of them were young and under experienced. Semester exams are supposed to happen after every 5 months but as it was under calicut university it was not done timely but college itself doesn't have any power on it. And the difficulty of exam is kinda medium, if just study basics you can pass easily.
There were no internship or placement cell in this college. if you want internship you might have to do it yourself. you might see placement cell information on the website but don't get fooled by those.
Before joining the college I've checked their website and I have seen they bragging about their placement cell and showing big companies for their placement, but in reality the placement cell itself didn't exist over there.
Fee per sem - 18,750 fee per year - 1,12,500 admission fee - 2000 (one time) caution deposit - 2000 (redeemable) PTA fee - 1435 For each semester we had to pay the exam fee, it vary for every semester.
Campus Life is pretty good there, we had several events in every academic year including arts day, college day, some small concerts, mydepartment fest etc. we had a separate block for the library and there's plenty of books and is peaceful when you need to study or read over there. There were some clubs but none of them where active but sports was not bad we had college team for several sports and they conduct sports day too.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
