I chose this college due to my KCET ranking. Choosing ISE in my college was the best option at my rank. Also, I had friends studying at this college suggesting pros of this college and my branch. Also, as the parent college, BMS is also closely affiliated with our college. These factors helped me make up my mind
I feel the course is pretty similar to the other VTU universities, but as the college is autonomous under VTU (for my batch, present batches or the next batch will be completely autonomous). We study common subjects in the 1st year and start technical subjects from the 2nd year onwards. I still feel the curriculum is pretty outdated, with some extra courses being relevant and some courses like DSA and OS being non-negotiable. But there is no industry relevance till now.
No, I haven't opted for any internships as of now from the college side, as I'm a 2nd year student, but the seniors I have contacted, asking about their internships, got me really good insights in the present scenario. Companies like Phonepe and Microsoft recruited students for internship from our college
The placement of the 2021-22 batch (7th semester) students has been surprisingly good this term. 15 people were recruited by SAP Labs at a ctc of 25 lakhs. Several companies like Siemens, Microsoft, etc. hired from our college. Internships season has also seen some growth this placement drive.
My fees vary about ?93,000 per year as I have taken admission through KCET. ( VTU - ?3510, GENERAL(Tuition + Admission + Welfare + Flag Fee + Medical + Data Center): ?72914, LIBRARY- ?3100, MAINTAINANCE(LAB+Maintenance)- ?3450, Miscellaneous - ?9750, Total: ?92724/- (for 2nd year) ) My friends through COMEDK are paying ?2.64 lakhs per year. Management fees vary from ?6.5 to 8 lakhs per year. Our college offers need-based scholarship and caste-based scholarship
Most of the clubs are pretty active in the college, conducting regular events, seminars, and workshops. We have 1 tech fest (late December) and 1 annual fest, Utsava (mid June). Most of the course books and reference books are available at the library. Sports—basketball, kabaddi, volleyball, and badminton—are very prominent in our college. Clubs like Access Denied, Rushang and several IEEE clubs
The hostel rooms are pretty well maintained and clean. The food is good when compared to PGs, and the variety offered on the menu is decent too. The rooms are big enough for 2 people to share. The WiFi speed is good, but not always. You can apply for hostels during your admission process itself, but early applications are better.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
