Remarks :
There is an entrance test for joining in engineering and pharmacy colleges in Andra Pradesh called EAPCET. If you qualified that exam then you are eligible to join engineering and pharmaceutical colleges. After qualifying there is a phase called web options selection in this you need to select a list of colleges that you want to join along with the course. So, in that list, the government will select one college for you. So, now you can join that college if you like. This process is called counseling. There are two phases in this counseling. If you are not interested in the college to which you got an allotment to first counseling then you can able to apply for second counseling. In this long process, I've applied to more than 20 colleges the government has allotted me a seat at BVC College of Engineering Rajahmundry and I joined that college. Now I am studying 2nd year 2nd semester (dt: 11-02-2024).
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course i.e. AI&ML is the future. So, that's why I've selected this course. All of Our college faculty are Btech and Mtech graduates. The teaching faculty of our course have no sufficient knowledge about the subject they are teaching. They simply learn topics on YouTube and Google and teach us. Our college BVC is affiliated with JNTU Kakinada. We have 5 types of exams per semester they are two mid-exams, lab internals, lab externals, class tests, and finally semester exams. Question papers for semester exams are prepared by jntu Kakinada which are of 4 sets and paper corrections are also done by them. Exams are conducted by jumbling centers. Our total course fee for 4 years is 3 lacks (including tuition fee, transportation fee, CRT fee, exam fee, University fee, lab fee, and other expenses like books, materials, etc..,.). There is a scholarship provided by the Andhra Pradesh state government i.e. Jagananna Vidya Divena (JVD) which pays tuition fees i.e. 35000 per year in four installments.
Internships Opportunities :
No internships are provided in our college. Students on their own can apply for it. Our college is only for getting a BTech certificate. There is no use of our college in placements, internships, and other extracurricular activities. By mistake, I joined this college.
Placement Experience :
Placements provided by our college are of very low package. The highest package of our college is 4 lack per annum and the lowest package is 2 lack per annum. A very low amount of students are getting placed in college placements approximately 2% of students. Companies like VI (telecom company) and Vipro are visited. I plan to take coaching to become a pro in programming languages after completing my BTech degree.
Campus Life :
The fests conducted in our college are very rare 4-5 fests a year (Sankranthi, Dussehra, Christmas, Freshers). The library is very good in our college but there are only limited books available. Sports competitions will conducted once a year. There are no clubs available in our college. No websites are run by students. The food in our college canteen is very poor in quality & unhygienic with the high cost and I am a day scholar.

Placement Experience :
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.

The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.

Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.

The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month.The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.

In my college,the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.

Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.

Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.

Job opportunities are countless for the students who are skilled. Both software and core jobs placements can be observerved in a wide range. Many multi national companies like deloitte, infosys, snovasys, TCS, Accenture are tied up with the campus for conducting drives.
