A honest review on SHCP
Remarks :
The fact that made me choose this particular college is that, it is AUTONOMOUS, has NBA ranking and NAAC A+ grade, also awarded as SWACHH CAMPUS 2020. It is collaborated with one of the prestigious hospitals in AP like SVIMS-padmavathi hospital. I got admitted through EAMCET exam merit ranking of 7500.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as it is a doctoral degree, which could bring great advancements in Indian healthcare system. The scope of pharmD is vast and it is a great course that trains the students to prevent&detect ADRS, drug Interactions .Also trains the individuals for antimicrobial stewardship AND prescription auditing etc. The college has great faculty.There will be 3 term exams per year and one final exam. The level of difficulty of term exams ranges moderate and difficult depending on the subject. The faculty are highly qualified most of them have doctorates in their respective field of interest.
Internships Opportunities :
After 5th year of college, the students are offered a clinical internship at the SVIMS and are posted at all the departments but they don’t give stipend. During the internship adverse drug reactions, contraindications, drug interactions etc should be detected and reported.
Placement Experience :
Most of the placements offered for the students are from Apollo pharmacy, omega pharmaceuticals etc the average salary would be ranging from 1.6-2.0 lakhs. I’m planning to pursue mba after my graduation. Almost 80% or more students will get placed irrespective to the package.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly fees for convenor seat includes tuition,lab&library 15000,hospital fees for practical hospital exposure 15000.So 92800 is the total annual fees.The admission fees must be paid in the first year For management seats the tuition fees would be around 1.6 to 1.8 lakhs depending on the candidates intermediate marks.They too must pay the tuition fee along with lab &library,hospital fees annually. The govt of AP, provides financial aid for students under special reservations who secured convenor seats, govt covers whole tuition fees alone every year for the first 4years.Other scholarships like Tata trust etc can also be applied.
Campus Life :
The overall campus life is good,students are socially active.There are several clubs like culturals,science and technology, cosmetology,sports etc also there are NSS &NCC units. The infrastructure of college is impressive making it simple yet well ventilated surrounding with greenery. The library is well equipped with great collection of books,journals etc. They also provide e-library. The classrooms are well advanced with projectors
Hostel Facilities :
The annual hostel fees would be 60000. The hostel is well facilitated with the AC,water geyser. Also has balcony that provides refreshment fro students. The hostel has great garden in front . The mess is well seated and is under surveillance. All the corridors of hostel are also under surveillance. The food quality is above average and is adjustable. The hostel admission can be booked at the time of college admission itself. No complex process is necessary. There will be 4-5 people per room.

Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.

The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.

Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.

The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month.The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.

In my college,the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Good infrastructure but needs better faculty.

Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.

Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
