Likes
- Campus is very nature friendly, everywhere you see is adorable greenery. It makes your soul humble.
- Faculty: faculty are experienced professors with a supportive mentorship and high research skills..
Dislikes
- Campus life:limited extracurricular activities , crowded campus, lack of student engagement, canteen and dining maybe
- Infrastructure: limited labs and equipments infrastructure mantainance
Remarks :
The factors that made me choose sgsits was its reputation as it was a government college and the affordable fee structure , the placement opportunities it provides , experience faculty and much more.... Some bad aspects of the college were competitive environment and limited campus and especially for mechanical eng. the labs and equipments are old and not modern.... I didnt face any GD or written test etc...
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum in mechanical engineering is generally in line with latest subjects and trends followed with top colleges affiliated with rgpv bhopal but sometime it may feel a little outdated with some modern aspects.....the faculty in experienced with advanced degrees such as mtech or even PhD and but some may find the style of teaching different but for they are all good teachers with great skills the academics is quite competitive with fellow students being with you otherwise it's a ok ok environment.
Internships Opportunities :
I had done 2 internships while in the college but they were not basically offered by my college they were summer internships (3 months) and other intership (till 4 weeks) but some companies that came into my college had 3 months internships and training programs whole some had 6 months camps..... The roles (especially for mechanical engineering) were training engineer , junior engineer roles and much more...
Placement Experience :
As currently I am in 4th year of my course and my experience for placement has been good (it can be different depending on your academical performance etc..) I had rejections from companies but that's alright as it makes you gain confidence and in some companies I am still trying to get the job.... There are several eligibility criteria's as your cgpa , 10th and 12th percentage , your academics and extra. Curricular activities and your experience and basically if you fit the job you get it and the companies that have visited my college are larsen and turbo , shakti pump, Asian paints, Hitachi much more the highest package I've seen is 12lpa and lowest and avg is 5-6lpa (in rupees) the percentage of student who got employed are 60-70% and my plans after getting the degree is to maybe pursue m tech and higher studies for better job opportunities and to may opt for the gate exam...
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure yearly in sgsits College may be based on your category or caste...basically for me as I was in sc category it was around 45,000 and caution money is 10000 non refundable and registration fees may be around 1000-4000 development fees 5000-10000 and examination fees 2000-3000 and laboratory fees 5000-7000.... (All in ruppes ....) I didnt kind of know my bachmates experience in fees management
Campus Life :
Life at campus is decent with with equiped labs , classes , modern facilities but I feel like it's a bit limited and the social life is quite good if you have a great company with you basically your friends and the more the interests you take in cultural things and events the more good social life you will have at the college whole the clubs are quite competent and have limited members who earlier there but they can be good depending on how much hard you work there and gain knowledge experience with your time there...

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa
Life at School Of Commerce, Devi Ahilya University
Placement Experience :
The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

There's a good amount of placement opportunities but the only minus point is the Training and placement department is same for the other branches of this college such as Lakshmi Naraine college of Technology and science bhopal

If you are focused on your studies you can get really good opportunities here as companies like accenture,TCS, Wipro and Tata Mahindra come here every year and many more companies too. The college provides training and placement classes from 2nd year onwards.

MBBS a rollercoaster ????

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
