Likes
- College Ladies Hostel is very good. They provide necessary amenities. Surrounded by lush greenery.
- Plenty of clubs and societies present. You can easily join the clubs and take part in their events and activities which happen throughout the year.
Dislikes
- Average infrastructure. It has been improving recently with sponsorships from alumni but there is still scope for improvement.
Remarks :
MEC boasts a strong alumni network that sponsors towards the infrastructure of the college as well as contributes towards events and placement activities. The college has a strong placement cell and training cell to equip students with skills required for placements through aptitude tests, coding tests, group discussions and mock placement drives. During admission time, we had to meet up with the principal with our parents. No other procedures like group discussions, interview, written tests,etc. Admission to the college is sought through KEAM examination. Lateral Entry is applicable too (through 2nd year).
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as it aligns with my career aspirations and goals. The curriculum has topics that are relevant and adds to our knowledge and skills in the field. The faculty are qualified and experienced in their respective fields. The teaching method varies according to each professor. They conduct two series exams (internals) and a final semester exam (university exam) within a semester.
Placement Experience :
The college has a strong placement and training cell. The training cell trains students with regular aptitude tests, coding tests, mock interviews and group discussions. The placement cell conducts mock placement drives and placement drives. Companies like GE Healthcare, Deloitte, Bosch, Nvidia, deshaw, nutanix, Amazon, Oracle, Synopsys, ansys, Qualcomm, Samsung have come for recruitment.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee payment depends on whether you come under merit, management or NRI quota. For Merit students, the fees come to around 46k per year and for Management students, it comes to around 74k per year. We have to pay separate for exam registration each semester. Hostel fees are to be paid separate. There are scholarships for students who come under reservation quotas.
Campus Life :
Campus life is good. There are hangout spots within college like Casa, Elga, Figa, etc. Clubs and societies are student-run and active throughout the year. They conduct activities which students can participate or volunteer for. There is a national level tech fest held by the college annually 'Excel'. It includes 3 days of fun activities, workshops, games, talk sessions, competitions, expos, concerts and so on. Books, PYQs, project reports, etc are available in the college library.
Hostel Facilities :
Ladies Hostel (MEC Jewels) is about 5-10 mins walk away from college. The food quality of the mess is very good, they provide 4 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, dinner). Registration has to be done via college office. The fee is Rs.7000 per month with a caution deposit of Rs.10,000. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bathrooms are of good quality. Amenities such as filtered water, iron box, kettle, etc are provided.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
