Likes
- The hostel is very nice with good facilities. Elevator facility is available in the hostel which is not seen in most of the other government medical colleges of kerala
- All the faculties are approachable and supportive and keeps motivating us in studies. The college provides a nice reading room and library for study purpose. A readimg room is available in both hostel and college.
Dislikes
- No elevens football ground is available in the college still now and also other sports facilities are lacking. A proper physical education department is not there.
- Campus is small and spots for spending Leisure time is not available. A nice recreation spot is necessary in the college.
Remarks :
The college is overall a good college with good academic performance. The patient inflow to the college is great as compared to other colleges and therefore students get a good clinical exposure than most other medical colleges. The admission to the college is based on the score of NEET entrance exam. The cut-off for 2021 to get admission for general category in this college was 650 marks. For SC, ST and other reserved categories it was less than this.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is decided by the National Medical Council of India. Currently we are following a CBME curriculum. The curriculum is nice as they have included some small group discussions and self directed learning sessions in it which help the students a lot. There are totally four exams held in a year for the first year students. Three are internal exams and one final exam. First and second internal consist of total three papers , one each of anatomy, biochemistry and physiology. The third internal exam is a total of six papers , two each for the three subjects. Final exam is also having two exam each for the subjects. The exams are not of much difficulty, but some questions may be application level questions. The faculties are nice and are approachable always.
Internships Opportunities :
A compulsory intership of one year is necessary to get a medical graduate certificate for which you will be paid. No other intership opportunities are provided by the college apart from this. But you can practice as a general practitioner at any clinic or hostpital after getting the medical mbbs degree from the college.
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not provided by the college. There will be a compulsory intership of one year after completing four year of the course for which you will be paid about 27000 rupees per month for the whole one year. After the graduation and the intership you can practice outside with the degree or go for higher studies like neet pg etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total amount of compulsory fees I'm paying is 25375 rupees which include tution fee of rupees 22050 and miscellaneous fee of 3325 . Apart from this there are hostel fee of rupees 9000 annually and mess fee of rupees 3000 per month. But these two are not compulsory as you can opt for a rented room outside or food from outside. All the students including the SC and ST category students need to pay the same fee but they are given E-grantz scholarship for that sonthat only after credit of the scholarship amount they need to pay.
Campus Life :
The campus is small compared to another medical colleges in India but the union and college administration tries their maximum to keep the college alive by conducting many activities and celebrations in the college which include Hostel day , College day, Onam celebration etc There are sports and arts fest conducted with interbach competitions. Dance club, music club , drama clubs , NSS are active in the college and each club conduct various activities in the college throughout the year.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel have good facilities with a nice mess hall attached to it. The hostel rooms will be provided at the time of the admission. One room is shared by three with a common bathroom. The mess food is average which include both vegetarian and non veg food. The quality is good. Renting a PG is more expensive than college hostel. The locality is good and many rooms are available for rent nearby college itself.

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
