- 1. Affordable Fee Structure: I find Sreyas Institute of Engineering and Technology quite affordable compared to other colleges in the same tier. The availability of government scholarships, like the fee reimbursement for BC, SC, and ST students, is a big relief. It makes education accessible without straining finances too much. 2. Location Advantage: The college's location near Nagole is a huge plus for me. It's close enough to the city, and I can use RTC transport if the college bus feels expensive. 3. Safe and Comfortable Environment: The campus has a ragging-free policy, which makes it a safe and friendly space for everyone. I’ve never felt uncomfortable here.
- 4. Decent Placement Support: Our college hosts companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro for campus placements. I also like the Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) program, which has been helpful in preparing for aptitude and coding tests. 5. Extracurricular Activities and Events: I enjoy the regular fests like Freshers’ Day, Annual Day, and Farewell Day. The sports tournaments between January and February are exciting, and I appreciate that girls are encouraged to participate. There are also active coding clubs and cultural groups, which give students a chance to explore their interests. 6. Focus on Practical Learning: I’ve benefited from courses like Web Technologies and Data Structures that emphasize practical skills. Regular lab sessions and exams help me get hands-on experience, which I find invaluable.
Dislikes
- 1. Lack of Internship Opportunities: One of my biggest disappointments is that the college doesn’t provide internships or guide us in finding them. I had to look for opportunities on my own, which can be challenging without proper support. I think if my college would've given more opportunities for internships, then I would've had more chance to gain more experience and grow more. 2. Mess and Cafeteria Food Quality: The food quality in the cafeteria and mess could be better. It’s not terrible, but there are days when it doesn’t meet expectations. The only good thing about food or drinks is the Juice Point which is located near the Basketball Court. 3. Hostel Experience: While I don’t stay in the hostel, I’ve heard from friends that the food in some hostels, especially government ones, is not up to the mark. Private PGs near the college are better, but they’re not always affordable.
- 4. Average Placement Rate: Although some students land good packages, the overall placement percentage is around 60-70%, which could definitely improve. I have yet to places as I'm in my 3rd year. Let's hope I get placed in a good company. 5. Limited Extracurricular Engagement: I feel that the student clubs, though present, lack active participation. With better involvement, these clubs could be much more impactful. And sports clubs could use an upgrade too. I'm the sports club head now, but I hardly see any participation in other sports than cricket,baseball and volleyball. 6. Basic Gym Facilities: The gym on campus is pretty basic and doesn’t offer much variety in equipment. It’s functional but could use an upgrade to cater to fitness enthusiasts like me. A friend of mine and me used to go to gym for like 4 days a week at first, but now as it is in dire need of an upgrade, we stopped going there. We had to go outside paying money
Remarks :
There are many factors one can consider while chossing Sreyas Institute of Engineering and Technology. Some of them are: 1. It's affordable : Compared to other college in the same tier, it's pretty offordable comparing that it also provides scholarships. 2. Nearer to City : It is located near Nagole. Which is not too far from the city. You can even reach near the college through RTC transport if College transport fee looks expensive. Not only these but there are other factors like Nice campus(Ragging free), good and experienced faculty all sum to the factors which can be looked through before Admission. There will not be any kind of Discussion or Interview before Admission. To apply to this college you'll have to write an exam called EAMCET. Upon getting a rank which should range between the college requirements, you'll be selected. There is other option for Management seat, for which a person have to pay donation in order to avail a seat in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
When I joined there were actually 4 courses : CSE(240 students), CSE-DS(120 students), CSE-AIML(120) ,ECE(120) a total of 600 students. But as the time went on the no of courses were decreased and now the course structure looks something like this : 1. CSE (600 people) 2. AIML (120 people) 3. ECE (60 students) -> As for the qualification of the faculty, they are pretty experienced and explain the subject very well. -> They are many subjects like Web Technologies, Full Stack Development, Data Structures, etc which will help the students to grasp knowledge on things which might eventually land them a job. -> Exams in this college are taken very seriously. There will be a term exam every 5 to 6 months and not only that there will an exam called mid term examinations which will held every 2 months after half of the syllabus is done. There will be atleast 2 to 3 Lab sessions and examination every term which helps the students to get hands on experience on the subjects(not just theoritical)
Internships Opportunities :
There is not much opportunity from the college side about internships. Because I don't think they give an option for applying internships or provide any kind of internship for free from the college side. If anyone wants to do an internship, they have apply outside of college. I have recently done an free internship in the CodSoft. It was a virtual internship for about 1 month. My domain in this internship was Java Programming. During this internship I have done 5 projects which are listed below: ->Number Gam ->Student Grade Calculator ->An Atm Interface ->Quiz Application with Timer ->Student Course Registration System Apart from these projects, I have done a personal project which is called Recipe Finder where it searches gives the recipe and everything for a searched dish.
Placement Experience :
The requirements for students in placements: Eligibility: Minimum 60% in academics with no active backlogs. Recruiters: Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Capgemini visit the campus. Packages: Highest: ?18 LPA (offered by product-based companies). I don't remember the company name but this was the highest. Average: ?3-4 LPA. Placement Percentage: Approximately 60-70%. These statistics are all from the previous year. As this year's placement drive has not been completed by the time I wrote this review, so I couldn't know everything about them. The company even has a program called CRT(Campus Recruitment Training) where they train the students about Aptitude and Coding. They held tests for both Aptitude and Coding every 1 month. This CRT pgm might help the students to get placed. My plans after getting is a degree is go to a company which gives me the highest package and work from there to get as much as experience and rise up the ranks.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fee for a person to enroll into the Sreyas Institute of Engineering College will be ? 1,06,000 irrespective of the course they take on. Additionally a student has to pay a sum of ? 28,000 for 1st year which consists of Lab fee,JNTUH fee, CRT fee, NBA fee, etc. But from the second year we have to pay our total tuition fee which is ? 1,06,000 along with ?8000(which was ?28000 for 1st year). This ?8000 consists of only the JNUTUH and NBA fee. This ?8000 doesn't consist of Lab fee, CRT as they should be paid only once for whole B.Tech period. The students who come from Management or any other sports quota will not be able to avail for scholarships. The Telangana Govt will provide something called fee reimbursement for BC,SC and ST students. If you're a BC student you'll get a fee reimbursement of ? 35,000 (Govt will pay). You'll only have to pay 71,000 along with other fee. If you're a SC/ST student you'll get full fee reimbursement. You'll just have to pay other fee.
Campus Life :
Well-ventilated and classrooms equipped with a TV, projector. The labs are also very well equipped with computers and wifi connection too. There are all kinds of books in library. We can be able to go and borrow any kind of book but should be returned to them by a period of time. If not, a fine will have to be paid. The cafeteria present in the college might not be the best thing but it has wide range of menu. Although the juice point is good. A gym for fitness enthusiasts, though the equipment is basic. Sports facilities, including a ground for cricket, volleyball, and basketball. The college has several technical clubs such as coding clubs, robotics groups. Cultural clubs focus on dance, music, and drama, organizing events during fests. There are many fests during the festival of Duseehra, Sankranthi,etc.There is also a sports tournament held in the college during the Jan to Feb month where students participate in all kinds of sports.Even girls are encouraged to play the sports.
Hostel Facilities :
There are many hostels for boys and girls. As I have personally have not opted for a Hostel, I don't know much about them. I think there is a girls hostel nearby college(by college). Mess food is average with a rotating menu. There are many Boys and Girls hostels near the college for the students if they are living very far from the college. As far as I know, registration process is pretty easy, simple and straight forward. But sometimes the food may not very good in terms of quality(heard this from one of my friends). If opting for PG, Nagole offers many affordable options near the college. And if you're from SC, ST there are many Govt Hostels which are totally free for you. But it you actually go to the Govt Hostel, the food quality will not be good sometimes.

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
A great place to meet like minded people
Course Curriculum Overview :
One important thing I like about the course is that it isn't only about reading books and writing exams. We get to practice what we learn through coding, assignments, and small projects, which makes the subject easier to understand. The syllabus also covers topics that are useful for todays tech industry. The faculty is friendly and easy to talk to. They explain concepts in a simple way, clear doubts without any hesitation, and we are already ready to help if someone is struggling.

My experience at NIAT
Placement Experience :
NIAT is a relatively new institute the first batch hasn't graduated yet, so there isn't any official placement record available. However the college has done a good job of preparing students through practical learning, coding and real world projects. Many students have already secured internships from the first year itself which gives them valuable industry experience. Along with technical skills the college also provides guidance for resume building and interviews, making students feel more confident about future placement opportunities.

Eligibility is that we must maintain atleast 60-70% aggregate overall without any active backlogs. Recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, AWS etc. Total no. of offers made: All branches combined get 700-1100+ offers. Highest package is 52 lpa offered by AWS, and average package is about 6 lpa. About 60% students get placements. After getting my degree, I intend to get a good job in campus placements in companies like AWS, and go towards VLSI field
