Yes, we have to sit for an all-India entrance test called Common University Entrance Test and if passed the cut-off marks which vary from 80-100, then we have to appear for a counseling session or a kind of interview.
The curriculum in the department is UGC-NET orientated and the faculty members are very humble and great. They provide in-depth knowledge about the specific papers. If one solely focuses on the lectures, they don't need to take any outside further assistance. The faculties are UGC-NET with Ph.D. qualifications. The department follows a semester system which includes two exams in a year with other internal exams. Fees are very low like we have to pay only 3650 for a semester. There are many financial assistance facilities. For instance, if you are pursuing a course from a Bachelor's in the University means an Integrated degree, you can get an Ishan Uday scholarship with 54000 per year for 5 years if integrated. And if you are pursuing the degree from Master's then you can apply for NEC scholarships and Postgraduate scholarships. You can also avail of the NGO scholarships.
No direct internship facilities from the department. But we have small one day workshops and conferences. Through this, we can get industry and job-oriented knowledge. For instance, I attended a five-day workshop program where I learned about the different types of bamboo and how they are used for production purposes like bamboo bottles.
My department does not have any direct placement. But after completing the course, we have to appear for competitive exams like UGC-NET, Civil Service, Banking, etc. Our department has a good number of alumni who cracked these exams. I'm also preparing for competitive like civil service. After completing the course, it's quite easier to grasp the competitive-oriented knowledge.
Initially, there is a fresher program when the students enter the department. There arr also a farewell and Saraswati Puja conducted by the department. They also conduct many national and international conferences where students can hear the lectures from dignitaries. There is also a departmental library and central library where one can find a good amount of books, journals, and newspapers to prepare for competitive and higher studies. Classrooms are well good with smart boards and sound systems. In University, we have a sports board where we can play carrom, chess, etc. The university also has two playgrounds where we can play football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc. The university has many clubs like drama club and poetry club but they are not active that much. The university has its website for the students.
Course is according to the UGC guidelines and faculties are also very well renowned and qualified they are very helpful and always keep on updating us with newer sports science concepts everyday and they also are very well sports trainer so if anyone wants to learn new and different sports apart from their specialization they can learn the other sports too
The eligibility criteria for good placement is you have to score more than 7.5 cgpa, the visited recruiters are high, the highest package offered is 15 lpa, and average package is 5 lpa, the percentage of students getting placed in this course is 95%, my plans after getting the degree is to become a judge
The eligibilty for sitting ain placement and internships are different for different organisation. but in brief you can say you must have to have a cgpa of 7.5 and must not have any back logs as many company wont allow students with backlogs. almost 90% of eligible students get placed.
Syllabus is still based on those old curriculum like who studies engineering drawing on paper ,this needs to be improvised . Faculties are quite good especially other state faculties. Fees is quite decent, you also get fee waiver depending on your financial situation.
Students of 3 rd and final year are allowed to sit in placement and interview round. Highest package be like of cse around 58 lakh Average 12 lakh 80 percentage of student almost get placed . I will move towards tech field after getting my degree.
Placement stats of my college is also very good. It's starts from 4th year. The highest package offer here was 62 lpa last year from cse department. The average package of my college is 12lpa. More tha 85 percent of students are placed every year. Most reputed organization like tata , oracle, phonepay, nokia came in my college for placement.
Placement are quite here the average package of cse is 15.3 and you have to maintain good academic record for placement , around 600 offers were made last year ,also overall placement percent of college in b tech is 77 percent
As for now I am 1st year student and I literally don't have any idea about the placement thing but I asked the seniors about this thing and the answer is very negative, After completing course like B-TECH they hardly get a placement offer of 1.5 to 2 lakh peranm. Think about BCA now
In this course most of the students opt for higher studies. From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. There are so many companies visiting here like Google , Indian oil , IBM , Tata etc. But they mostly focus Btech Students. I am interested to do Phd after completing this course.
Internship is not so good but the placement here is very much satisfying It is worth joining this college if your are looking for placement even in low range jee main score around 91 to 98 You get to improve yourself with the help of seniors and friends
