- One thing I like about this college is it's affordability, the extra curricular activities held by the college, fests
- In this college people from different parts of India come under one umbrella and we get to know about each other's culture. Sports activities like Volleyball, Kabaddi held by the different colleges
Dislikes
- The college isn't provided with proper smart technologies like smart boards etc. The hostle furnitures and other amenities are not proper. The food is cooked in palm oil which is not healthy and also on some days food is inedible
- College faculty is also not upto the mark like some professors' teaching technique
Remarks :
The factors which made me choose this college: It is an Autonomous Institution. it is a Government Aided institution. Situated in Bengaluru, The Silicon Valley of India. It is very old and prestigious institute in Bengaluru. There are different ways to take admission into this college : KCET (State examination -only for the domicile students of Karnataka. ) COMED-K( For all the students across the country. ) Management quota I took admission into this college through COMED-K examination. And my COMED-K rank was approximately 17670 and got CSE branch. The COMED-K cut-off for this college changes every year.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The reason I chose the branch of Computer Science Engineering is because it's a very prestigious branch and I also like to learn new coding languages like C++, Java and Python. The faculty of this college is neither good nor bad but average. Some professors are good in teaching methods for example my python professor when I was in second semester. But some professors' teaching are not upto the mark. The exams might sometimes get postponed to 1 week or even a month especially the odd semester exams like my first semester exam which was held one month later after the dates were announced, rest the difficulty level is not that high like it's based on what is taught in class and the questions are almost covered by the professors. This aspect I like the most where we can score higher CGPA.
Internships Opportunities :
The college does not provide any internship so we need to apply for internship on our own. There are different internships provided online Currently I am yet to apply for internships so I have to gather more knowledge about internship.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria of placement is based on CGPA and technical skills. Higher the side courses persuaded higher is the package of a particular company. Some famous companies like : Accenture have visited this college and a higher number offers are made about 200 students are offered to different companies. The highest package offered to the college student is approximately 29.6 lakhs per annum and average package offered is 3 lakhs to 10 lakhs. My plans after getting a degree is to pursue higher studies in abroad and then settle over there.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Every year the total tuition fees charged by the college is approximately (2 lakh 70 thousand 1 hundered 32) this may vary from year to year . The total tuition fee required for my complete course is approximately 12 lakhs including other fee . The fee gets increased every year for upcoming students. Scholarship is not provided to COMED-K and Management Quota students by the college. State Government Scholarship is available for all students registered to KCET. Central Government scholarship is available to students belonging to all categories. Tuition fee-2,37,706(it may vary every year) VTU fee-13,610(it may vary every year) Other fee-21,980(it may vary every year) Placement fee-2,000(it may vary every year) Skill lab fee-5,000(it may vary every year) Management quota fee depends on college management, KCET fee depends on the State Government.
Campus Life :
The fests conducted by the college are : Maitri fest-(December of every year ) Sanskruti fest-(July every year) Kannada Kalarava -( January of every year) Branch fests of different branches every year Library is good and well equipped with good books of different subjects. Amenities provided in the class by the college is not up to the mark. Outdoor sports like: Cricket, football, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Badminton, and Gym Indoor sports like :Carrom, Table tennis, Chess are provided by the college . Extracurricular activities like : Coding, Singing, Dancing and fine arts are organized by the college during the fests. Some clubs are set up by the Students welfare Association of this college : Like, Cultural club GDSC Music Club etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality of the hostile is fine some days but not good on other . The mess of the hostel uses palm oil which is not good for health. On some days the food is not bearable. The food and menu is mentioned as North but North cuisine is not prepared. The registration process of the hostel is as follows: 1. First the fees for different facilities are to be paid like : maintenance, room rent, caution deposit and mess fees. 2. Then fee receipt is submitted to the hostel office. 3. Then the office in-charge hands in a form along with a mess card at the time of admission which is to be filed. The mess card changes every year. The infrastructure of the hostel is average like some rooms are good but some rooms are not functional. When a complaint is filed against any problem it is resolved.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
