Ramaia College Of Arts Science and Commerce- My experience
Remarks :
The first factor which made me choose this college was the distance. It is quiet near from my house, just 600m away. Next is the addmission process, since there is no restiction on taking courses based on your course you took in 12th, I enrolled myself here. I didnt have to go to any interviews or written tests for admission, since I'm the covid batch. But what I have heard is there is usually an interview that you would have to pass for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of my interest in computer science. The curriculum is pretty good. But the faculties are not quiet qualifed and are unaware of recent trends of the IT market. The academics is also quiet bookish and nothing practical or apt for a course which is related to computer science
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly the fee is 1,45,000(tuition fee included in it) but there is a 30000 fee discount if you are a Karnataka student. The Karnataka student discount is applicable if you have graduated your 12th grade/II PUC in the state of Karnataka. There is an additional scholarship waive off depending upon your percentage in your 12th grade. If it is 80-85 percentage it is 5000 waive off. If it is 85-90 percentage it is 10000 waive off. And the final amount that can be secured for this scholarship is 15000 which can be availed if you have secured 90 and above percentage. The fee is yearly, and payment for 2 semesters is done in one single year. Some do find it difficult to pay it in one single transaction, as it is obvious that not all would have 1L or 1.45L ready to be spent. So some even do the payment in installments, eventhough the management doesn't like it.
Campus Life :
As for the extracurricular activites, there is alot of clubs in which we can get enrolled. There is also NCC(in which im currently enrolled in) which gets alot of encouragement and support from the college. Fests also happen here and there but the one drawback they have is that they are the same type of event, i.e., competitions.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
