Remarks :
There was a interview for addmission. But mainly it was through merit cum basis through allotment. You have to apply in the mgu portal as the first step, later they will publish admission lists in 3 to 4 rounds and you will be alloted colleges according to the cutt off of each college and competition.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because I have a keen interest in marketing field and I love to pursue it in my future. All the faculties must have an MBA to qualify as a lecturer in our dept and most of them have completed their PhDs. The teaching method is mostly theoretical, practical knowledge is very less. Exams were mostly according to the semester timings, and the difficulty level was moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
I have opted for a internship in my first year, it was a private intership that we got bcoz it was conducted with in our college premises. The intership was to facilitate a summer camp. Plan manage and takeover the entire camp.
Placement Experience :
Internship are not very good , but placements are available and lately a lot of new placement offers have been invited into college that promise a career for the student's. Internship holidays are permitted but the students has to find good programs by themselves
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tution fee per year is around 12000, 6000per semester (may vary for some semesters). There aren't additional fees other than tution fees for lab. The only extra payment is exam fees. As the course is management course all the students have to pay same fees irrespective of the category they belong to. Various scholarships from government and college are available for the students but mainly focusing on categories other than general
Campus Life :
Life at campus is good. It isn't the best for me but i enjoy my time there. One of the main attraction is the infrastructure of the college. It is a college that has so much connection to nature. There is almost one fests every month. There is a wide variety of fiction non fiction and study material in all languages available in the library. Along with a digital library with more than 300 laptop's. There are several social groups such as debate club, anchoring club, fashion etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is available in college but only women hostel. The college hostel is said to be okay but very strict and has harsh rules. I have opted for a pg near college , it in alfiya nagar, university road, south Kalamassery.

However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

One good thing is that placements aren't treated as something that only matters in the final year. From the early semesters we are encouraged to build projects, improve our coding skills, and create a strong resume. That gives us enough time to prepare instead of rushing later. The college also shares internship opportunities and guides students through the application process. There are resume reviews, mock interviews, and career sessions that help us understand what companies expect. I feel the support is there throughout the journey, the more effort you put in, the more you can benefit from these opportunities.

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.

One important thing I like about the course is that it isn't only about reading books and writing exams. We get to practice what we learn through coding, assignments, and small projects, which makes the subject easier to understand. The syllabus also covers topics that are useful for todays tech industry. The faculty is friendly and easy to talk to. They explain concepts in a simple way, clear doubts without any hesitation, and we are already ready to help if someone is struggling.
