- Some students are really serious about their career and if you get a good friend circle like this, you can achieve decent outcomes by self studies.
- Some faculty members are very friendly and good. They have good appreciation for student's good work and they support and encourage student's self development.
Dislikes
- No sports infrastructure and very less encouragement for extra curricular activities
- Very old ways and bad/ineffective ways of teaching.
Remarks :
I chose this college because I was under the Impression that because Poornima College of Engineering, Jaipur is the second top college for engineering AS PER RTU; it would be nice choice as compared to other colleges like JECRC and SKIT. There was no such interviews for admission, but one may get asked for some "donation" before admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The RTU course for CSE is very outdated and this college (PCE) uses the most primitive and conventional methods for education. Despite being an Engineering college, students are required to physically sign documents, fill forms and what not on monthly basis and that too is not online. There is an attendance criteria of atleast 75% which is very impractical for what they actually offer in their college hours. It is always better to be at home and be more productive towards your career. No sports encouragement at all, minimal extra curricular activities encouraged Very old mindset where students are required to be in uniform just like schools.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are mandatory but college expects the internships to be terminated within 45-60 days as 75% attendance criteria. Hence students have no choice but to go and do a certificate course like learning computer programming. I have done internships in over 3 companies but I had to discontinue after 40 days because of college pressure.
Placement Experience :
Placemenrt policy is very misleading and the college seems to have been blacklisted by certain MNCs and other companies. Average Package as per DEC 2024 is 3-3.5 LPA and that too only around 70-90 students placed till now. In contrast to this, JECRC is another RTU affiliated college with same fees as PCE but it has avg package of 5-6 LPA and over 100 students placed till now with over 30 students having package more than 10 LPA. The training and placement office is very manipulative and it doesn't bring companies in the college but rather shows the placement opportunities from offcampus company offers. Highestpackage till now is infosys (9.5 LPA with inhand of 7 LPA)
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is a TFWS scholarship which makes your annual fees to be 25,000 rupees only. For a general category student the fee structure is: Tutuin fees: 81500 development fee: 12225 accrediation fee: 20375 RTU(rajasthan tech university) registeration fee: around a total of 5000 RTU exam fee each semester: 2000 other fees: 5000 - 8000 and caution money: 7000
Campus Life :
the campus is nothing bu the college buildings, no sports fascilities whatsoever. Library is quite good but only has a capacity to host 15-20 students very basic and overpriced Canteen. No sports activities at all. Sports (basketball) can only be played after college hours Classrooms are very congested and students often don't get seats in labs or classes as there are around 75 students in each class (CSE, AI&DS, Cyber sec.) Students are forced to attend useless seminars and sessions so that the guests or the presenters get the false impression that students are interested. Sometimes students are not even allowed to leave the college fascilities in any case even as late af 6:00pm which is outrageous. Marks are given based on student's impressions and flattery. Some faculty members are nice and helpful. Self development is discouraged and only RTU curriculum is imposed to be studied. There are some clubs but they are of no good use, just leisure. College infra has seen some improvs.
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't opt for the college hostel but i have close friends who did and their overall experience is that it is very overpriced. It is better to opt for a PG or an appt. near college for better infrastructure and for way cheaper.

I heard that btech is no one here for academics and placements for women so its worth it. There are lots of sports opportunities wherever you want you can achieve like horse riding squash etc. theres aviation as well for the girls to fly and achieve their dreams

Yes, students had gotten placements via college in banking and private companies because after completing graduation i also got an opportunity through college but due to some circumstances, i hadn’t got that chance.

You just have to be a student of last year for applying in internship programs and placements. You have to master any skill and then you can get placement. Many small companies helds campaigns in the university and appoint students for job. The average package is around 20-30 per annum. The highest is around 40 to 50 lakh and lowest is around 10 to 20 lakh per annum. 60% of students gets placement in companies . My plans after getting the degree are to master a skill and then apply for a job in a well known company.

I really don't like placement of jecrc bcoz I don't see mt senior going to a great company out campus they are achieving good but in our campus we don't really get into good company they should have increased the number of companies in our college

Campus recruitment training is provided to all course students and it depends on the student whether they want to opt for it or not. After CRT, different companies come to the campus for their recruitment drive.

There is no campus placement here. Students who passed out from here some are finding jobs, some had their good family business and just wanted to get a degree and some started their own startup. College don't provide you any future security.

As every engineering college we get high placements in circuital branches but for non circuitals senior advice to study a particular language , DSA and all to get placements which is somewhere right because chances of circuital branch jobs are high.
