PDUSU Admission Process

Applications are handled through the university’s online portal at shekhauni.ac.in. The selection method changes by course: some programmes use qualifying-examination marks, while others consider CUET, PTET, CLAT PG or research entrance scores.

UG Admission for BA, B.Sc and B.Com

Class 12 aggregate marks determine merit admission to BA, B.Sc and B.Com. Applicants must have completed 10+2 through a recognised board. Most subjects accept students from any stream, but B.Sc normally requires PCM or PCB according to the chosen specialisation. Supported programmes also allow applicants to use CUET UG scores.

Professional UG Admission for BCA, BBA, BJMC and B.Ed

Students applying for BCA or BBA need a recognised 10+2 qualification, and Mathematics is compulsory for BCA. Selection may be through merit or CUET UG. BJMC admission uses Class 12 marks. For B.Ed and integrated B.Ed courses, applicants must qualify through the Pre-Teacher Education Test conducted by the Government of Rajasthan.

PG Admission for MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA and MCA

Graduation marks in the relevant subject are used for MA, M.Com and most M.Sc admissions. Depending on the year’s intake, MBA and MCA selection may be based on CUET PG or direct merit. These programmes generally require at least 50% in graduation. LLM applicants are considered through LLB marks or CLAT PG scores.

PhD Admission

A PhD applicant needs a postgraduate degree with at least 55% aggregate. The minimum is 50% for SC and ST applicants. A valid UGC-NET, CSIR-NET or Rajasthan Pre-Entrance Test score is also required. PDUSU releases PhD notices twice each year, and shortlisted applicants attend a research aptitude interview on campus.

Application Steps

  1. Visit the PDUSU online admission portal at shekhauni.ac.in.
  2. Select the intended programme and check its academic and entrance-test requirements.
  3. Complete the application using Class 12, graduation or postgraduate details, as required.
  4. Enter the relevant CUET UG, CUET PG, PTET, CLAT PG, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET or RPET score when the selected programme uses an entrance test.
  5. Take part in merit-list selection or the required interview and research assessment.

Students at PDUSU may apply for state and central government scholarships. Depending on the scheme and the applicant’s eligibility, support may pay the full tuition fee, provide a maintenance allowance or offer a fixed annual or monthly amount.

Spread over 61 acres, the campus contains 14 PG teaching departments, a central library, an auditorium, a cafeteria and a sports complex.

PDUSU combines direct teaching with responsibility for more than 75 affiliated undergraduate colleges in Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu. Affiliated-college students study the university syllabus and take PDUSU examinations, while direct teaching at the main campus is limited to postgraduate students and research scholars.

Hostel facilities are under development at the permanent campus. Sikar has road and rail connections with Delhi and Jaipur, which is 110 km away, giving students access from Rajasthan and the NCR region.
