- Green campus with lots of space and a lot of hangout spots.Night life is also very good
- Good Placements comparatively especially in computer science
- 4 months leave in a year.one month after odd sem ,3 month leave after even sem
Dislikes
- Some faculties are very strict and will try to fail you
- Admins of the college does not care anything about students
- High fees for students and a lot of students are unable to payit.
Remarks :
Mainly i focused the placement for computer science students in NITC.I am also from kerala so it was easy for me to reach NITC too so that also made me choose NITC.To JOin NITC you need to clear JEE mains with a very good dcore.I got around 3000 OBC rank.Bad aspect for of our college is the admins of NITC,they dont really care much about the students.But apart from that everything is good in our college
Course Curriculum Overview :
NITC is the first premium engineering college to provide core courses in first sem itself,so we learn only what is needed for us.Since i am a computer science student i dont need to study engineering mechanics or chemistry.NITC also provides minor degrees in around 9 different subject to promote inter disciplinary culture.Faculties are actually good and also well qualified.Exams are conducted timely but are very strict
Internships Opportunities :
A lot of companies like ORACLE comes to the college and take interns from s5 itself .some of the students have got around 1 or 1.5 lakhs per month just for their internships .internship interview and tasks are actullly similar to getting placement interviews .there will be an exam after that one or two rounds of intervies.
Placement Experience :
Any student without any backlogs studying in 7th or 8th semester can sit for placement.A lot of companies come for placement like Amazon, ORACLE ,Goldman Sachs ,Deshaw,JP morgan etc.in the last year there were 1080 offers made for 2024 graduants and 186 internship offers.the overall average salary package is 12.11 lakh and highest package made last year was around 50.64 lakhs.for Cse THE AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 19.11 LAKHS
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We essentially have 1,25,000 rupees as tution fees for general,OBC,EWS students with an annual income of above 5 lakhs,for students between 1 lakh and 5 lakh you would have to pay 41,100 per year as tuition fee.for SC/ST students,Pwd students and students with family income under 1 lakh shall not pay any fees at all.Fees is paid per sem.(half of the yearly amount).Apart from this ,in even sems you need to pay around 20,786 in odd sems and 12,000 in even sems as miscallaneous fees like exam fee,medical insurance etc.They will also take around 30,000 as caution deposit and one time fee.If you are taking hostel ,you need to ay 13 ,000 per sem as hostel fees and need to recharge 20,000 per sem in mess wallet for food
Campus Life :
NIT calicut hosts south India's largest cultural fest RAGAM which is usually conducted in march .This year it is in february. It also hosts south india's largest technical fest TATHVA in october. along with TATHVA,ADIZYA (archie fest) ,TARANG (Management fest )also happens. There are a lot of cultural as well as Technical clubs in NITC .some of the technical clubs are UNwired , AeroUnwired ,Robotics Interest group etc and some of the cultural cubs are ICA, adventure club,club mathematica etc.THere are associations of each departments with student members that work as clubs.along with this ,there are several hometeams that represent the college with various artforms.The college has very good teams for each sports who represent us in tournaments like inter NIT s
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are actually good with very good messes working in them.but the main problem is they are charging very much for messes.for first year boyss there are 3 sharing rooms,for second and third year boys there double sharing rooms and for final years and PG students can choose between single sharing or double sharing.Since there are multiple messes and students can choose any mess the competition is actually very much so the food is good

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
