TAPMI: Is everything glittery really gold?

- Faculty is well qualified, and has resources
- The campus has various food stalls and a campus Mart which is helpful to the students as they don't have to always go outside if they need to eat something.
Dislikes
- The faculty Is qualified but some lack the ability to keep classes engaging and some genuinely scare the students and wear down their self confidence because of the way they talk
- The infrastructure is fine, but the hostel facilities are not worth the money.
Remarks :
We gave an entrance exam called MET or manipal entrance test. Then we also faced a group discussion with about 7 more students, and then, we had to give a personal interview with 2 faculties from the department, that is TAPMI.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum per say is very hectic, and the course is rigorous for every student aa we have multiple assessments throughout the course. Like sem one we had mid-sems, quizzes, individual and group projects, as well as end semester examinations. The faculty according to me would be 50/50, because some are really good at teaching and make the class engaging, but then others are just who are qualified yet, don't know how to engage the crowd.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for an internship as I am a fresher, but we will have internship opportunities soon as we have social internships in next semester. Then later we will have other internships in our second and third and final years of college
Placement Experience :
I am a fresher so I am yet to experience any intership, but as per what I've heard the highest package has gone upto 25lpa and the average is around 12-15lpa. My plans are to grab a job opportunity from the college and then be self employed in probably 5-8 years.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We pay about 5 lakhs as college fee per year, then include hostel facilities for 2,62,000 for a double sharing room, and then include 72,000 yearly mess expenses, as for the reservation quota students, I don't have an idea.
Campus Life :
The infrastructure is very nice, hostel facilities are a 4/10 because the hostel staff take a long time to respond to complaints. We have eventa conducted almost every 3 months, the most recent event was falak, the MIT fest, and then the upcoming fest is kala, i.e. the TAPMI fest. The campus has a closed as well as open sport court facility for all types of sports like basketball, volleyball, a gym , table tennis, sauna etc. all of this are available in the marena, that is charged seperately for various things, and the all facilities charge for all facilities goes upto 20k
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel mess is average, there is poor hygiene, the hostel is average too as the facilities and the responsibility given to the management is not being managed well by them. There have been cases of lost items in the laundry quite frequently, the wardens take ages to respond to as issuea reported, the room cleaning facilities are a headache to avail

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.

We do see companies and lot of posters inside campus of placements Cgpa with above 8 are dligible for placements here and usually 4th year students are eligible Student named abhinav choudry was offered 52LPA last year from AIML and by company called AMD And in 2020 someone got placed 45lpa from amazon 52lpa was the highest here And the average for my course is around 6-7 lpa Percentage of students getting placed is around 65-80% rest do degree or may not be placed My plan is do m tech after getting degree here
