It's location is convenient for me. There were no interviews or written test for admission, it is where maximum of the students of itanagar go and even from all the different students different district come to take admission at this collection
I love teaching and literature so I chose english major as my course. All the faculty members of my english major department are all fascinating and they are truly aspiring especially our Major sir Dr janan padhi sir. We're the experimental batch he said, and he feels empathy towards us we all could see. Our course are divided into units, unit 1-4. There are total 6 subjects that we have to study; major 1, Major 2, minor, vac, MDC and Sec. I have recently gave my 3rd semester's final examination, the difference between 1st and 3rd semester was that, in first semester there was just one major paper and the our vac course was environmental science however now our vac changed to history without any consulting of the students. We simply just given history as our vac and it was extremely overwhelming. Even in the first semester..the inception of our college life, being the first batch of the New education policy, we had to chose a minor course.
No I have not opted for any internship and there is no intership opportunities available at my college, Atleast that I know of. I have no about this. Nor I have ever heard anything like this from my classmates
There are no job opportunities at our college. I have no idea what I'll do after completing my course. There is no guidance for the job opportunities at my college, students who are in ncc and nss are given extra credits that's all
Examination fees difference for arts and science streams. Yearly we spend around more than 5000 on college fees, for science students they have to pay few hundreds more than arts and commerce. There is examination form fill up fees and then there's is admission fees for every semester.
First of all, i would like to mention that the English major classroom has the worst of the bench/desks in the entire college. The other streams of students has atleast decent and proper utilities in their classrooms. And the college canteen is so small.. it's disappointing. There are very few clubs that actually function, that is the art and anime club. Being the capital college of itanagar it is actually quite smaller than what I had imagined, it is below my expectations. The hallway are narrow and suffocating, water shortage at washroom, broken lights bulbs/ceilings/fans, the worst part is that girls and boys washroom way too close to each other and I've encountered some boys coming into the girls washroom to look at themselves in the mirror. Lack of garbage bins, lack of seats for students; they take in more students than the class room can accommodate! And lastly the routine is too tight with too many subjects per day.
I chose this course because I loved gardening and growing vegetables, fruits etc Most of the faculties have done PhD in their respective subject, they are highly qualified and good in teaching Terms exams are timely taken and the difficulty level is medium in my perspective
Placement exam and internship are good too and they always informed us about jobs and valuable lessons to prepare for Placement and internship as well as they try to teaxh us how to attend and write and study hard by yourself and we students love our teacher too
The placement opportunity is decent. Year by year more companies are getting interested in hiring students from this college. The placement opportunities are not already upto the mark but it is getting better.
Various companies comes for placement in NERIST but many of which don’t provide a proper package most number of them provide around 3-4 LPA. Since this companies are mass recruiters so more than 50% of the students gets placed
The teachers are highly qualified. And tests occour monthly and since it is first year the test and exams are very very moderate . The exam of first year is given during December after which we get a vacation for few days after which the second sem begins and its exam occur at april
I choose this course because this was the only subject I was good at it , 1st & 2nd are easy but 5th is difficult and we need to do more hard work at this sem and the faculty members are really nice and understanding
Almost all the teachers have PhD degrees except a few. They use both English and Hindi langue based on students preferences. They provide notes from standard book and also provides own well prepared notes. The exams always takes place timely, timely routine were provided.
Mbbs degree for placement. Package - depends on department. Students placement depends on vecancy seats . After mbbs degree I prepare for post graduate exam and done super speciality in cardio department
Zoology was my subject since class 5 as I love studying this subject so I decided to took zoology as my honours in the university. All the faculty members of the university are good enough with a PhD . There held 3 sessional examination at a duration of 1month gap.
Companies start visiting for placements from 7th semester, Many top companies such as C-DOT, Deloitte, Wipro, OIL, CGI, Tech Mahindra. The highest package offered is 19 LPA, average package is 7.6 LPA. Most of the IT companies offer SDE, Analyst roles where are core companies offer GET roles for the students. I'm looking forward for the placement after getting the degree.
