- The overall college is best to be experienced in the whole country as student elections make it more fun in the college. along with the teachers are very friendly, each and everything is available inside the university itself as the university is spread over a whole sector making it he biggest in the north region.
- Infrastructure is also good according to a government university. the building is in okaying condition but there are no ACs or heaters in the classrooms. Also parking for the students is available in the university itself that too near the college or department itself.
Dislikes
- There is nothing as such to dislike the college or the university but one thing that can be talked about is the new subjects introduced by the college.
- the new subjects include such as UNGP (united nations and global politics) which even does not have a particular book to study till now.
Remarks :
The college is too good for studying 5 year law in the north region as it is very much influenced by the high court making regard of the esteemed justices frequently in the seminars which makes it far better than other universities and even making better than some 2nd tier NLUs and all the 3rd tier NLUs and Yes the college is sticked to the entrance test held by the university in objective form with 100 questions. The final merit list is occupied with the marks of the entrance test and the marks secured in 12th boards by the candidate. To secure admission easily in this university atleast 55 marks in the entrance test and 90% in the boards of 12th are required.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Because of the interest in the law and with my own will to see me as a judge in the court I choosed this course to opt after my 12th and also the facility of the university in my own city. All the professors in the college are really very well educated and also very much experienced though some times there are guest teaches which may not satisfy the students with there teaching methods and style. The term exams are held regularly after every 6 months and the MSTs are also conducted in every semester one time.
Internships Opportunities :
There is a special career development cell in the college itself which helps students to go for internships they are wanting to. they offer many of the law firms opportunities to join into. talking about the projects there are assignments or the research papers to be made in every semester and a viva or presentation based upon their project of assignment made.
Placement Experience :
As this is a law department the scope of placements is less as maximum students are willing to start their own practice in the nearby courts or they are willing to prepare for the competitive exams such as judicial services, civil services etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total amount of the fees taken by the institute is 1,20,000/- for a general person in total. This includes 70,000/- for the first semester and 40,000/- for the other semester and other 10,000/- as department funds. A person with category or punjab below poverty line which includes families below 2.5 lakhs as their annual income they are discounted with the fees with more than 70%. Also, all other reserved categories have various fee schedules varying from each category to another. And year after year, the fee increased by 2000-3000 varying every year. The fees mentioned above is according to batch 2024-25.
Campus Life :
Mostly the fests are conducted in the even semester and the punjabi artists have the most influence over the fests and after these fests cultural fests are also conducted in the university in which all the people are invited to participate and further openly performing cultural events. also many of the clubs are there in the college offering every opportunity to the students to increase their presence socially and level up there skills and learn new experiences.
Hostel Facilities :
though i have not opted for the hostel but there are hostels available in the university itself along with mess, play area, parking, shops and others. also other than hostel there are PGs also around the university nearby. the hostel are very much affordable as they cost 6000/- for 6 months.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.
