- First thing is faculty. Faculty at the college is brilliant. Each and every professor teaches a particular law and is master of it. Moreover if a student is going to any competition, teachers help a lot in the preparation. And due to this our college achieves a lot of wins each month in competitions conducted throughout the country.
- The other thing is exposure of various courts and tribunals available in one city. For any law student, the most important thing is the learning of applicability of lae in practical world and one can only learn that by interning and visiting in courts. Availability of great internships and access to all courts and tribunals is one of the greatest factors.
Dislikes
- First thing is the non availability of ACs in hostels. It is very difficult to live in hostels during peak summer season and most of the students go back home during excessive heat waves. But if a student can survive without AC then hostels are the best place to live in
- Infrastructure can be improved a little bit as university is very old. The living conditions at hostels and infrastructure of college should be improved as per the changing time. Infrastructure should be improved as much as the amount taken from the students.
Remarks :
It had a good prior experience teaching law and has great faculty. There is no such group discussion or interviews to get into the college. One has to clear the entrance exam of the college and get a good rank. Both marks of the entrance exam and the 12th class are considered equally while calculating the rank of a student.
Course Curriculum Overview :
One of the main factors of choosing this college is the experience and intelligence of the faculty. The professors and teachers are highly qualified in their particular field of law. Exams are conducted timely after the end of the semester and the difficulty level is quite good. The fee is increased every year by 3000 to 4000. There is financial assistance available to SC, ST and OBC students.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I have done a lot of internships throughout my life on campus. I have my last year left now. Internship experience is really good as a student has access to almost all the courts and tribunals except for the Supreme Court. I have interned in Punjab and Haryana High Court, District Court, NCLT, NCLAT, DRT, CAT, MACT and many others. Students learn a lot from the experiences of lawyers and senior advocates and learn the applicability of law in the practical world.
Placement Experience :
There is very less frequency of campus placements in this college as most of the students who take admission are the ones who want to pursue either litigation or judiciary. Students get placed but that too on a very less paid job.
Campus Life :
Campus life is one of the positive factors of the university. Fests are conducted throughout the year at a great scale. There is 24 hour library available for students and it is one of the biggest libraries in north India. There are a lot of clubs and societies of which students can be part in their college life like the Moot Court Society, Alternate Dispute Resolution Board, Criminal Justice Practicum Cell, Sports Committee and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
I have opted for a hostel and it is quite good. Hostel rent is very cheap and so is the food. But all students cannot get the hostel. Hostels are allocated to the students based on their ranks in the admission process. Moreover, students living within a 40 km radius of the university are not allowed hostels. One drawback is that there are no ACs in hostels. But PGs and flats are easily available in nearby areas for students. There is no entry or exit time in hostels and no foundation at all.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
