I had no say in choosing a college. Dad chose college and course for me. Had to go along with it. That aside Food Technology is one of the easier and popular courses in the college. Merit cut off was above 90%. There was no specific interview but a small discussion with Manager and parents along with student. Reason for admission, course selection, grades discussion, few structure discussion, admission procedure briefing, meeting with course faculty. No prior preparation for the same was required.
As mentioned, no say in choice, had to choose this course. Faculty members required qualification of at least Mtech or PhD. Teaching methods were conducted either via blackboard and chalks or ppt presentations via projector. Efficient and informative.
I have opted for an internship but not via my college. Even from college, just to get activity points, we had to go find internship opportunities on our own. I completed a five day internship at Travancore Sugars and Chemicals Pvt. Ltd.
Placements were available for most branches but our branch was relatively new and hence no placements for us. Not mentioning other students from other branches since I am not sure about their package. Very few students get placed due to high demand. Currently pursuing internship after successfully finishing degree.
Fees is not paid yearly but semester wise. Each semester, you have to pay somewhere between 40k - 70k. It ranges because special fee is often added every alternate semesters for infrastructure and campus development. Not sure about tution fees and lab fees but caution deposit is 10k for college and extra 10k for hostel. Money for graduation is taken from caution deposit of each student. Around 3.5k per student. Rest of it is returned. I got in via NRI hence had to pay an extra ?4 lakhs. If getting in via management or other quotas, it is considerably low. Around ?2 lakhs or lesser. If KEAM rank is considered, admission fees are considerably lower. Not sure how much.
Course in itself is easy to understand. One would require a background in science along with maths to get into this course. Biology background would help as well. College fest - Azure is usually conducted during September - October months. Used to be a 3 day fest but could be changed now.lots of journals and bools for each courses segregated in perfect order and such that everything is easy to access. Abundant study materials in library to ace exams. Classroom are huge with average quality furniture. Good ambiance and ventilation in app classrooms. Projectors in each class for ease in teaching. Sports like Basketball, Football and Volleyball for both genders were greatly encouraged to be enrolled for all students. Not much aware of clubs and social groups but came to know about hiking club during later period of my college term. College website for each student to access grades, notifications, course materials, library dues and office dues, event details, backlog materials and info.
Food quality was sufficiently good in our College Canteen. Same for college hostel. Menus used to be changed every 1 or 2 weeks both for canteen and hostel mess. Not sure about hostel registration and affordability since I was a day scholar who didn't take PG as well

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
