Dislikes
- Locality is bit distant from the Mainpuri town itself.
- Placement team needs to work to get mass recruiters at our campus. Off campus drives are bit tiring.
Remarks :
We were the first batch of this college with only one branch at start Civil Engineering. In the initial years classes were running at HBTU Kanpur. But we were shifted to our beautiful campus at Mainpuri within 2 years. Good aspects - Beautiful Campus bit distant from city's hustle but worth it. They give us insight about the competition prospects for government exams or skillset required to get hired at prestigious private organizations. Bad Aspects - Mainpuri is tier 3 city , if someone is looking forward to prepare for GATE and MBA from any institutions, you won't find any nearest city would be Agra. Some companies avoid visiting the campus due to its location but placement teams coordinate with other colleges and our students appear off campus. Admission Process - In our times admissions were on the basis of UPSEE but now admission is on the basis of JEE Mains. Your ranks will decide the admission , there are no interviews. Under AIR of 75k one can easily get in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechanics has always attracted me since school days, so what's better than Civil Engineering to learn what you love. The Director of the college was HOD of Civil Engineering at MNIT Allahabad. He would give us insight about various fields under civil engineering which helped us to understand the need of the hour and prepare relevant skills. Qualification of faculty - Most of the associate professors were M.Tech from IIT's and IISc. Few of them have cleared UPSC Engineering Services Examinations and were GATE top rank holders in their times. Young professors, full of energy dedicated at their job . Academically it's one of the best colleges of UP. There were two class tests within a span of a semester followed by final semester exams . Class tests levels were moderate to difficult and sems were easy to moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
Unpaid internships at govt affiliated departments like Public Works Department, Railways Department. Few of us got shortlisted for L&T young fellowship program and two students were able to get PPO. Other than this some local builders were are also a part of the recruitment drive.
Placement Experience :
Prism Cement, Ultratech and L&T are the major constant recruiters for civil engineering. For electrical and mechanical Lohia Industries , Minda Automobile , Bajaj are major recruiters. Since computer science is relatively new , we have no idea.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For all the students total fees paid was Rs56400 which included 20k tuition fees, 5k admission fees , 10k lab and development fees , 5k registration and exam fees , 10k caution money and 6.4k other charges. We have received government scholarship for all the 4 years course. SC and ST candidates scholarship amount gets directly adjusted in their fees. There are few fee waiver seats as well , these students are suppose to pay just some caution charges and registration fees amounting to about approx 20-22k.
Campus Life :
Abhivyanjana is college fest conducted annually after the end of odd semesters. Other than this annual sports meet and minor technical and literature fest are conducted once in a while. Vast library comprising more then 20k books and 3k journals. Well lit Classrooms with proper air conditioning equipped with digital boards creates a positive learning experience. Technical fests with various tech activities like Robotics , Coding Challenges, Hackathons and promoting entrepreneurship are conducted every year. Kabaddi , basketball, kho kho , football and crickets teams have been gold medalist at inter university sports meet. Literary Clubs , Social Service Groups are various other groups within the institute.
Hostel Facilities :
Day scholar but as per my frnds reviews food qualty was moderate Mess fee was 36k and hostel accomodation fees was 16k. Hostel fees was also refunded in scholarship Nearest locality is mainpuri town around 6-8 kms from college.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
