- 1. Affordability : As a government institution, it offers affordable education, making it accessible to a diverse range of students. 2. Scholarship Opportunities: Scholarships are available based on state and socio economic backgrounds. 3. Residential Campus: On campus hostels create a cohesive community environment , supporting both academice and social engagement. 4. Campus life is very good as GYM , Canteen , Playgrounds which empowers students to explore more about their sports talent and keep themselves fit. The connectivity with cities like Agra and Kanpur is good. 5. Faculty members doesn't interfere much on the students life and they give students ample time to try new domain of Knowledge. 6. NPTEL Local Chapter: The institute is a local Chapter for the NPTEL which makes it easy for the students get MOOCs Certificates by attending NPTEL examination. 7. Reading Room/Library facilities: Though limited seated but they are good places to study in a peaceful environment.
- 8. Sports: The sport secretary is chosen every year to represent the interests of the students in front of the Director of the institute. Sports events like Volleyball, Football, and Table Tennis Championships are conducted at regular intervals by students under the guidance of Sports Incharge. The funds are allocated most feasibly to this club . Once in a year college take students for the Zonals and competes with other colleges of the same zone. Gold medalists are taken to the State level competition with the monetary support provided by the college.
Dislikes
- 1. Limited Resources: Although the college has essential facilities the infrastructure might not be as adavnced or comprehansive as the of older more etablished institutions. This can affect the availability of state-of-the-art equipment and technology for practical learning. 2. Faculties: While the faculty is qualified, there might be a variance in the teaching methodlogies and experience levels across departments. In CSE department only one permanent faculty is availale and rest 5 faculty members are present on an eleven months contract because of which they focus on themselves more than the teaching and guiding. Mostly students are dependent on you tube for learning anything. Sometimes we do not remember which teacher is teaching what subject. And guest faculties usually have 1-2 years of teaching experience which makes it harder for students to learn easily. 3.Cultural and Social Events: Increasing the frequency and diversity of cultural and social events on campus life .
- 4. Placements Opportunities: Being a relatively new institution, the college might face challenges in attraction a wide range of companies for campus placements. Strengthening industry connections and collaborations could improve placement opportunities. The colleges does not provide TA/DA facilities to companies which makes the company hesitant to come the college. LOCATION: The location of the college is difficult to reach which is one of the major reasons for the companies to make hesitates. Also, it is difficult to move out of the college campus after 6 PM . The frequency of the public transport reduces. Drinking Water Facility: College has insufficient drinking water coolers and facility. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the water coolers are not done. Lack of Greenery: College feels like desert during summers. Campus has a very little green area. Planation is done only for photos on the WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY only .
Remarks :
Pros: 1. Ample time to prepare for exams like GATE, CAT, CDS, etc. 2. Less interference from other branch teachers. 3. Good-conditioned labs supported by air conditioning. 4. Good opportunity to represent the college at zonal, state and national levels in sports such as kabaddi, basketball, Badminton, etc. Cons: 1. Connectivity is not good after 6 PM and before 9 AM. 2. The TPO of the college is not responsible. 3. Poor placement scenario. Admission Process: 1. Go to the AKTU counselling site with a JEE MAINS SCORE Card. 2. Do choice filling and Pay a certain amount. 3. Freeze/Float the choices. 4. Go for physical reporting with proper documents mentioned on the site of your chosen institute. 5. Cut-off for CSE Branch is up to 150K rank for home state quota for GENERAL candidate. The same is true for 115000 other state students. 6. Rest all the branches such as ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, and CIVIL have empty seats so they accept even the last rank-holding candidate in JEE MAINS.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen to do B. Tech is one of the few courses where I can get a job just after I graduate. Thus, I have chosen the computer science branch. The faculties are well educated and they have completed their B . Tech from Tier 2/3 colleges. However, almost all the faculty members have completed their Masters and PhD from well-reputed IITs and reputed universities. However, I believe that teaching methods vary among branches. Exams are always held at a fixed time and difficulty is moderate. The examination is held free from any kind of Unfair Means. The fee has not been hiked since 2019. The tuition fee remains constant and students have the flexibility to pay in 2/3 installments. UP Government Scholarship is a scholarship being given to all students belonging to the same state. Students must have annual family income below Rs 150k and parents must not be Government employees. Usually, SC/ST students get more amount as compared.
Internships Opportunities :
Presence Learning Pvt. Ltd. is the company that offered me an internship with a stipend. This company is a start-up from the same college, though the company is in terrible shape. I was given the role of preparing short notes for a subject named "Emerging Domain Of Electronics Engineering". I have also prepared questions and solutions that have a high chance of getting asked in the AKTU Semester Examination. I have created video lectures for the same too. Besides this, I was also involved in website development for the same company and I got paid the same too. I was paid Rs 600 for three months for the above-mentioned tasks which is very low. Though it was my first internship I accepted it with less payment.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria are not fixed they offer the most number of students for placements, as the number of placements is naturally less. A few visited recruiters are: 1. Amazon = 3 2. UpGrad = 7 3. Apollo Tyres = 20 4. HCL= 3 5. L & T (Off-campus)= 1 The highest package ever offered to any student is Rs 10,00,000 per annum And the average package is below 3 lac per annum. A very low percentage of the students are getting placed in the institute as the TPO of the college is responsible. The HODs of different departments are just doing their duties from 10 AM - 4 PM. They lack accountability and often reject responsibilities for placements. Even they are unable to invite companies for summer training. Students do internships after the 3rd year but they have to find themselves. I plan to go for higher studies like an MBA after appearing for the CAT examination. As I have lost all hopes of getting placed in the current institute. Most of the students have similar thoughts after college.
Campus Life :
Fest are not conducted at regular intervals. The Cultural Councils usually organize the fest after several applications and permissions. It is a tough task to conduct a fest as the college administration has previously denied the funds. The library is relatively new. Belonging to the CSE department I have faced a lack of books since 1st year which is still not solved. Other branches comparatively have more books for 1st to 4th year students. Very few Journals are there. Sports events are regularly conducted by the students themselves. The college has provided support for the sports club and the ports in charge is a responsible person. Once in a year, the college participates in Zonals(sports fest) conducted in the Agra region. Students actively participate in sports such as Kabbadi, Kho kho, Table Tennis, Basketball, etc. Robotics Club, Sonic Tech Club, Photography clubs, Videography Club, Cultural Club, etc are run by students themselves. A faculty member is assigned as the head of each.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality of the hostel mess is average. The food is served at the time scheduled mostly. Hygiene is a problem in the hostel mess and the food serving people is often not clean. The infrastructure is very good of the hostel. Three-seater hostel rooms are provided to the students. The bathrooms were renewed last year but still, there is scope for improvement like the leaking terrace and cleanliness. The registration process is extremely easy, the interested students need to pay the fee and take the receipt to Caretaker Mr. Nirmal Singh, and allocate their room as they wish if nobody has already taken it. Hostel and Mess fees are paid simultaneously they are Rs 12,000 and Rs 18,000. Total mess fee for the whole year is Rs 36,000. The rooms and PG are placed at a distance of 5km far atleast. The college is placed at a highway a little outside the city, Mainpuri. The usual room cost Rs 1,500 per month and for food with maid the total cost reaches Rs 4,500 per month atleast.

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
