- Eventhough Rich in history, heritage and aesthetics the college lacks proper management that there are many parts of the college which is rustic and unclean , shattering the Image of the college
- Still lagging behind in many renovations
- Lagging in providing basic funds for cocurricular activities!
Remarks :
Government Law College was established in 1874 and is one of the oldest colleges in Kerala. Government Law College is rich in its history as well as its heritage and its contribution to the Indian Judicial system. To get admission into Government Law college Ernakulam the law aspirants has to clear an examination known as Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE) . The cut off marks varies annually. The syllabus for this exam include General Knowledge , Logical Reasoning, General English ,Arithmetic Reasoning and Legal awareness.. Through a proper study plan a law aspirant can pass the exam in flying colors.
Course Curriculum Overview :
For a law aspirant especially the ones who took commerce in +1 &+2 B.com LLB is the biggest option lying in front of them that they gets a chance to learn what they were hoping for with a subject which they are pretty familiar with, which eases out there study pressure!. The faculty in this college is great that they do their job pretty good. They wont spoon feed you everything as they work as the mentors and they gives complete freedom on ourselves. They emphasise the fact that its the duty of the students to study and the teachers duty is to study. Often there will be class tests and at the end of every semester there will be semester exams.
Internships Opportunities :
its mandatory that the students should apply and complete an internship of minimum 14 days per semester..and there are faculty in charge for each batch.. These internships are mainly done in law firms , Government offices ,as well as in Non-profit organizations. Only a few places provide stipend b ut its the experience that matters that each internship certificate boosts the CV .
Placement Experience :
The salary package varies depending upon the the field a person chooses after his graduation....Since B.com LLB is the main subject many pf the graduates have gone in corporate fields and have chosen jobs like coroporate lawyer , legal assistant etc.. The placemnt celll of the college is not upto the mark.. But the thing to be noted is that almost every graduates from this college is able to find themselves a job1
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees is about 2500, and for the whole of five years it will be about 12500 and the tall the other fees including that of caution fees ,PTA fund , and admission fees will be about 5200 and in case of SC,ST students the admission fees is reduced to 2700. There are government scholarships available to students belonging to SC , ST students.
Campus Life :
This college is never short of programs...Its always eventful that there will be minimum one program a month. The college is a big stage to boost our social confidence.. This college helps us in socializing and thus improves our social life. The college infra structure is a mix of both traditional and modern architecture.. Most of the buildings are old especially the heritage building ..The libraries is filled with Law journals , SCC's and other law books that Literature books , only few are present. The college is becoming a new face in terms of Arts especially in the drama stage as recently the team from government law college ernakulam bagged a lot of prizes in both national and state levels.. In terms of sports it's slowly developing.. There are many clubs under the College union which is run by the students. the college is also DA friendly, that there are ramps and all the necessities required!
Hostel Facilities :
The college has got two hostels, one for ladies and the other for boys. The ladies hostel can only accommodate a very few that many students have to opt for other private hostels.. in boys' hostel, it is spacious. The food is also good. There are wardens for both hostels.. Mens hostel is spacious enough as well as both the hostels are DA friendly.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
