I have given COMEDK and according to my rank I was getting CSE in this college, so I took it. There are no Group discussions or interview, but I had to clear COMEDK Exam. Upcoming students have to write NUCAT exam, Admissions are done only through NUCAT. COMEDK, KCET is no longer accepted to join NMIT Bangalore.
Course curriculum is fine, college follows VTU curriculum. Faculties are decent, most of them hold PhDs. If one listens classes properly, except may 1-2 subjects remaining all can be a cakewalk. Exams are conducted as Continuous Interval Evaluation, where we are currently having two mid semester examinations and two Learning activity exams. And one final sem end exam. Coupled with lab exams. All the tests are moderately difficult.
So placements are decent around 4.5 lakh of avg package is expected. Students become eligible from 7th semester. Companies like Nutanix visit every year to recruit students. Placement percentage is more than 95% I plan to get placed after degree.
When I joined the admission was in three criterias KCET, through which the fees is the least depending upon the category you belong the fee can go to a maximum of 1.5 lakh. Next is COMEDK, through which I joined and the fee is around 2.8 lakh including all registration and other fees. Now third option is Management Quota, through which the fees is around 6.8 lakh for CSE Branch including all registration and other fees. Apart from this if you choose to stay in hostel, you have a hostel fee of 1.25 lakh every year. NOTE: From AY 2024-25 all the new admissions will be through NUCAT Exam as the college is integrated into NITTE University and no longer is under VTU.
The Annual Techno Cultural fest is called Anaadyanta which is pretty good and fun. A large collection of study books are available in library, one can study from those books. Fiction and Novel books are not available. Classrooms are equipped with a projector and wifi. Hostels also have wifi, the wifi is mediocore, one can use it decently, not much of a problem with wifi. Sports are fine, we have a football court with the turf, and one basketball court, volley ball court. There are a lot of clubs, which are decently active, few of them include NMIT Hacks organises a 48 hrs National Hackathon every year. Aeron club of Mechanical dept is sponsored by Toyota. We have a satellite enthusiast club which is supported by ISRO. NCC and NSS are also available for students to take part.
The food is decent, not bad we have chicken twice a week, and then Egg once. Hostels are available only to limited students, they get filled pretty fast. The hostel fees is around 1.25 lakh per year this also includes the Mess Fees.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
