Likes
- What I really like about my campus is mainly the library and NAC(New Academic Complex) which is really nice place to spend time. We have deers which will be friendly with us unless we disturb them.
- And the faculties are friendly with us and they give projects they are doing for intrested students which will be very helpful for placements and internships.
Dislikes
- What I dislike about my campus is monkeys. They do a lot of fuss and do all the dirty things.
- Apart from monkeys, I really like everything about my campus. Everything is clean and perfect.
Remarks :
It is the top institute in India having nirf ranking 1 and I also have a dream of joining an IIT . I have written JEE mains and JEE Advanced exam for getting seat in IIT Madras. And seat will be allocated according to JOSAA council.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this college according nirf ranking and the best course I got in this institute is mechanical Engineering which I liked on the continuation of the course. We have hands on experience for every workshops and labs going on. Faculties are friendly with us having good social bond. We use to have clses as per slots. We can have our free time learning new courses and we have various options to learn new things.
Internships Opportunities :
I got an internship in Momentive performance materials company, banglore through our campus portal. Similar to placements, we have internship portal. Almost we have 180 companies coming to our campus and recruiting eligible students. Highest stipend for internship this year is 420000 per two month by PnG company and BCG company.
Placement Experience :
Companies use to come to our campus (IITs) first before going to another campuses. Our highest package is 4.3cpa. and average package is 16lpa. We have placement sessions going on at the start of final year. We can shift to dual degree based on our CGPA. If not interested in placements, we can do projects under professors which will be very helpful for our resume building and getting placed to other colleges outside India or other companies later.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fees varies according to the reservation quota. General - 300000 per year EWS - 22700 per year OBC varies according to income tax of their parents SC and ST - 7200 per year Scholarship will be provided for SC and ST people and for EWS students also. Alumini Scholarship for students whose parental icome less than 1 lakh and NSP scholarship for SC and ST students where they pay their tution fees
Campus Life :
Life at campus is too good and I feel I'm lucky to study here in IIT Madras. We have CFI(centre for innovation hub) where competitions and projects happens and currently we have a government project called bullet train which goes very fast without making much noise and we have cultural fest called saarang and technical fest called shaastra which I'm a part of. We have many more clubs and library where we have almost every book we need whether it's relates to courses we have or story books and everything. We use to have inter IIT competitions for curricular activities and sports. Everything here is run by students only.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes , I have opted hostel. In hostel messes, we have north and south food available with veg and non veg seperated. Food will be too good and healthier alot. I applied for hostel rooms when I first joined in the college through the IIT Madras website. Our hostels are a way hygienic. We have staff who cleans everyday.

Placements are given in high reputed companies, even companies like Microsoft, IOS, intel are also collaborated with the college. And for animation they provide placement in" Toonz Animation, Techno park, Thiruvananthapuram.

Not bad placement trainings and good faculty members to train for placements . Good companies with good packages come for placement drives who select the best of all and give placements for them. Good placements.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.
ITS VALUE FOR MONEY
Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
