The great review of my college SVCET
Likes
- I mean I like some of the faculty and staff here they are mostly friendly and helpful they will try to clear your doubts and be supportive(only some of them)
- I like to hang with my friends in the campus during our free hours. we mostly roam around the campus having fun
Dislikes
- I don't like some of the teaching staff here they are very strict and stubborn they do what they want with students for example if a student has made mistake they will target them and will keep on nagging to them and will even try to reduce their marks(only a select few)
- I don't like this college doesn't have a cafeteria,for name sake they have a small shop like canteen which only sells basic needs like notes papers and only few eatable items
Remarks :
Well to be honest I didn't choose this college because of various circumstances I had to come to this college in the ap EAMCET counselling I got this out of all the colleges that I selected so I didn't have any choice. in the first phase of counselling I got a different college and in second counselling I got this college.the cut off for this college was around 45000 for computer science course and I got 48629th rank in the ap EAMCET exam. The admission process was good first they will confirm your identity and rank and then will ask for various authentication and your previous marksheets etc and then only they will admit you after that you have to pay a minute fee to book your seat otherwise it will be cancelled.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course I've taken is computer science(core) this is pretty famous and common around every student. The faculty of this college are mostly well enough but some of them are not worthy of being a lecturer they don't even know the information about their subject they just come open a ppt read and they will leave. But mostly the faculty are good well educated in phd's etc they will try to clear any doubt you have about the subject. there are two mid semester examinations every two months and immediately after the second mid exams you will have lab exams and after that you will your semester examinations. It gets difficult around second mid exams because immediately after that u have lab exams they will not give any preparation holidays or anything like that they will try rush everything.
Internships Opportunities :
No I have not yet opted for any internships L&T and infosys companies provides the internships with a stipend ranging from ?5000 to ?15000 per month. Other companies also provide internship but Those two are the leading ones. I don't know anything about projects and tasks
Placement Experience :
Placements are very less in the college only a selected few will have the opportunity the highest placement in our college this year is 4.6lpa and you can figure out with that less companies come to our college and even less hires the students the selection rate is very low. You need have no backlogs and a cgpa above 4 to even get eligible to get selected. Infosys and L&T are the highest recruiters in our college average in these companies is 3.5 lpa and the highest is 4.8 lpa less than 5% students get placed in companies through college placement. My plan after the degree is to get a campus placement of minimum 4 lpa otherwise it is difficult afterwards
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College fee per year is ?62000 and there is placement and training fees yearly ?10000 Our college is sponsored by L&T company they provide a course related to our college course,their fees yearly is ?8500 and there is semester examination fees it is ?2750 and there is condonation fees if your attendance is below 75%. The college is too greedy they will charge you with unwanted fees for example they will charge ?500 before issuing semester exam hall tickets. The management students college tuition fees is ?120000 and they will also have to pay all the extra fees as well. scholarship is provided by the government only if your under certain casts and could not pay any income tax.
Campus Life :
Campus Life is mostly good enough there is no such thing as ragging and they will hardly even disturb you. there are two fests per year one is when they welcome the juniors it is only juniors and sophomores and the other celesta fest it is conducted for everyone the fest lasts for 3 days. Every book that you need related to your course will definitely be in the library.classrooms are mostly neat and there is a smart projector in every class room. There is only one sports meet per year various games are provided and there are cash prizes too. Extracurricular activities are hardly done in this college i mean there are a few like debate contest coding competition etc. there social media groups run by the students which provide information about our college.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality of the hostel mess is okay I mean not excellent but you can survive on this menu is not that diverse they will provide the same menu on thrusday which is provided on Monday. cleanliness should need to be improved.the registration for hostel should be done at the same time as admission to college rooms are spacious and clean and the hostel staff or cleaners will clean your rooms daily if you have any problem you can inform to the floor incharge and he will take care of it and if he also doesn't do anything you can post your problem in the hostel group then it will be solved definitely. Infrastructure of the hostel is good a ground is provided for Playing and a small park is also provided to hangout with your friends

Placement Experience :
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.

The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.

Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.

In my college,the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Good infrastructure but needs better faculty.

Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.

Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
