SRM-Ap is knows for its focus on research and innovation. They try to push students out-of-box and tell us to focus on extracurriculars as well. For admission, you can join only by writing srmjeee exam. For preparation, focusing on basic concepts and covering overall syllabus is important. To be frank exam is very very easy. Board level pre is enough .. but all the topics must be covered upto a basic level.
The world runs on technology. Technology has become an inseparable part of our daily lives. Hence, I chose computer science. The faculty here are quiet good. Majority of the faculty are phd scholars from one the most prestigious institutues like IITs, IIScs and even from abroad. Exams were conducted regularly. Normal classroom exams are quite easy. Coming to end-semester exams , the paper difficulty is moderate-tough.
The overall fees to be paid for B.Tech Cse is 5.5 lakhs including the hostel + academic fees. The highest is for cse branch . For all other branches it is a bit less. You can get scholarship through srmjeee exam or ap-eamcet exam . To maintain the scholarship you have to maintain good grades through your academic year. IF the grades stop dropping then forget your scholarship.
Life at srm-ap is quite good. You get good friends. You meet people from all over india, you see the slight cultural differences and all. The infrastructure of the campus is top-notch. The hostels are well maintained. The thing is like the most is the unlimited access to internet xD. The best part about srm is its library. The library has all sorts of books. You read it right. The fees for hostel is high, but trust me .. the hostels are very very good. They are worth the fees. The campus infrastructure is TOP-NOTCH! Food quality is average. Its not that great. You can register through the srm-ap portal.
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.
The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.
Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.
In my college, the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
Job opportunities are countless for the students who are skilled. Both software and core jobs placements can be observerved in a wide range. Many multi national companies like deloitte, infosys, snovasys, TCS, Accenture are tied up with the campus for conducting drives.
placements are good compared to many other college in the area. many companies like deloitte , hexaware , moldtek, ctrls, zf technologies, accenture , infosys, tcs, coditas, rithwik enterprises recruit every year from our college
There are good placements are going on on this university to crack a job interviews and minimum packages are got by some and most got more packages and the more more companies are coming to this university and when we have skill and discipline only we get placement job otherwise we won't get job.
