- The staffs and teaching is great. The techniques and products are upgraded and upto date. And there is high patient exposure due the population.
Dislikes
- The climate is not so likely to every person here. The summers are very hot and humid. The monsoons stretch for weeks with heavy rains.
Remarks :
I preferred dentistry in Srinivas Institute over various reasons. I had great reviews about the college among the people I know. And srinivas college is affiliated to Rajiv Ghandi University, which is one the top universities in india also giving us the certificate of great value. Also the college is situated in mangalore, an educational hub in case of medicine, hence giving us good exposure to the career. And the fee structure is understandable and worth every penny we spend.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had choose Dentistry as i was already someone interested in medicine and art. And BDS is a perfect blend of it. The teachers and staffs of the college are great. The classes are held from 8 in the morning till 4 at evening. It includes Lab hours and Theory classes. We have 3 internals yearly which add up as internals marks in our annuals exams. The classes are mostly done with visuals and presentations. We have group discussions, patient interactions debates and seminars during the year.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are mostly done at the college itself, but we can opt for other choices if needed. Graduations are mostly done after the 4th year, hence internships can be done anywhere in or out of karnataka, with your valid hraduate certificate.
Placement Experience :
We get rotational shifts to different colonies and clinics depending upon the department we are posted in. Internship is done at the college itself, but there are options to prefer other places. Internships are mostly provided by the college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our college has a fees structure of 4 lakhs per year for a duration of 4 consecutive years, excluding the internship period during which the college provides a monthly stipend. The fees structure varies based on the seat acquired and the caste category of the student. For management seats, the total course fees over the 4 years can amount to 16 lakhs depending upon the marks obtained in the previous board examinations. Additionally, students belonging to SC/ST categories are required to pay a reduced fee.
Campus Life :
Our campus is situated near the highway, making it easy to travel to both mangalore town and manipal. The campus life is fun, we have annual days and talent shows stretching for days. We got dj nights and cultural festivals. There are department shows and fashion nights too. As the campus has got various departments extending from medical to engineering etc, there are many students from various places making us easy to adjust no matter where we are from. All the college related necessities are available nearby.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is situated in a walkable distance from college. There are 3 people sharing. The food mess includes vegetarian and non veg , 4 times a day including tea and snacks. There is reading, praying areas. The hostel u laundry option for washing your clothes. Many great pg options and apartments are also available nearby.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
