Remarks :

I chose BMSIT&M for several reasons like reputation and rankings. The course computer science and business systems is an in-demand, industry oriented blending technical knowledge and business applications, and such a thing is in demand in the industry right now. BMSIT also has good placement history and gives students industry exposure. The campus has good facilities like library, green campus, well equipped labs and others. I got my admission by writing the KCET exam and by securing a rank of 9k I was able to secure a seat for myself in this college. And no, I did not face any group discussion or interviews. BMSIT doesn't conduct those for the admission processes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I opted Computer Science and Business Systems because it is modern and industry oriented course which combines core computer science related concepts and business management skills. In the present scenario many companies prefer a candidate who has good business knowledge too with the core computer science aspects. It offers a broader career opportunities allowing me to work in both technology and business related fields. Most professors hold Ph.Ds and those who hood M. Tech and currently pursuing Ph.Ds in their respective domains. Some have industry experience mainly in AI, ML and Cloud Computing. Teaching methods includes a mix of the traditional chalk and talk method and presentations. Some even prefer to teach by making the student do projects on a few topics that would be beneficial to their curriculum. Internals and Externals arr conducted on time. But only in the 1st sem the exams maybe delayed a little due to the issue of University Serial Numbers to the students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I joined the college through KCET, SCQ which is a fees waiver scheme. My fees in the 1st year was 32k and in the 2nd year it was 24k. For obc and sc/st based on the category the fees varies. The management fees is nearly 4.5L/Year. All these are excluding the uniform, exam, booklet, placement training, hostel fees. Those will have to be paid separately when told. The general fee which includes application fee, admission fee, data center fee comes down to 3900. The library fee is 3350. laboratory and maintenance fee is 3500. Miscellaneous fee which includes ID card, internet, project work, cultural, sports fee is 9250. Total is 20k. And the vtu fee is nearly 9k. This is the fee structure for 1st year engineering and 3rd sem diploma students. And for the upcoming years the fees gradually decreases a little.

Campus Life :

There are numerous clubs in which a student can take part in. The college conducts "Utsaha Vaibhava" a cultural fest which is held for a week long in the even semester. And in the odd semester there is "Tech-Transform" which is a technical fest. The library has a vast collection of books, journals, research papers. There is also access to digital library. The classrooms are spacious, well-lit, equipped with projecters and wifi. Labs and hostel is well maintained. Food court has a lot of options to choose from. We also have a bakery for desserts and snacks. There is also Kaapi Kuteera where you can get snacks and drinks. There is IEEE society student branch which is run by the students. There are also numerous clubs like GDSC, Cultural, IEEE, Drama, Music, E-Cell, Rotaract, Aero and many more clubs for the students to indulge themselves and develop essential social skills.

Quality Education In Minimal Fees

Placement Experience :

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

BSc Physics at Jain University

Course Curriculum Overview :

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

MSc Physics at Christ

Course Curriculum Overview :

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

A review by a normal college student

Placement Experience :

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
