- THE LIBRARY IS MASSIVE, FOR THE INTROVERTS OUT THERE YOU CAN USE THE LIBRARY AS A QUIET SPACE OT SPEND TIME FOR YOURSELVES.
- THERE ARE BENCHES EVERY NOOK AND CORNER OF THE CAMPUS (THE COUPLES CAN SPEND TIME TOGETHER)
- THE PARKING LOT OF BOTH CARS AND BIKES A VIEW TO WATCH.
- ITS A MASSIVE LUSH GREEN CAMPUS WHICH MEANS ITS COOL THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IN HERE.
- THE EVENTS FROM A TO Z ALL KIDS OF EVERTS ARE AMAZING AND WORTH TO PARTICIPATE IN EVERYTHING.
- THERE ARE MANY LABS IN THE COLLLEGE WHICH CONTAINS NUMEROUS AMOUNT OF SYSTEMS. YOU CAN USE THEM FOR YOUR OWN PURPOSE.
- THE FOODCOURT AND THE COLLEGE CANTEEN ARE BOTH EXCELLENT.
Dislikes
- VERY FEW OR ALMOST NO HOLIDAYS DURING FESTIVALS.
- THE MINIMUM ATTEDANCE REQUIREMENT IS 80% TO BE ABLE TO SIT FOR EXAMS
- THERE IS NO GRASS GROUND. ONE MUD GROUND WHERE EVERYONE PLAYS AND ITS CROWDED.
- THERE IS AN ACTIVE GROUP OF HINDU ACTIVISTS OF STUDENTS THAT CASUES COMMOTIONS DURING THE MAJOR HINDU FESTIVALS.
Remarks :
I took bmsit&m because of the distance from my home. During selection I had msrit bmsit and nmit as my priorities, as these three colleges were near to my home distance wise. Accordingly to my ranking I got bmsit. Since I took admission through kcet there was no interviews or such. I'm guessing even the managemnt students dont have any such interviews. Parents where happy that I got in bmsit and overall it was a good choice. College accepts jee mains, kcet, comed k and other engineering proffessional examinations (diploma). Bmsit is defenitely in the top 5 engineering colleges in bengaluru and I would recommend anyone without a second thought to take admission in this college. Either through management or kcet. The fees is also compartively affordable and its has all the services you require or need. The college also has its own transportation services.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose civil engineering because its growing & evergreen branch. The min qualification to become a professor is phd, which means all the profs are technically well versed. The profs of my department, all are very nice & kind people. They are always there for you when you need their help or assistance. Their teaching style & approach towards students are unique and depends from each individual. They dont always stcik to the syllabus, they always teach something extra curicullar which is very interesting. Even the lab assistants are very nice & kind people. We're the second batch of autonomous under vtu (2022). We have internal assessments every 2nd month ending and 4th month begininng. We have sem end exams which are exactly according to the syllabus and its not that tough. If you're like me, even one day before the exam you can complete the entire syllabus. Every semthey'll teach you bim or cad software which will help you in placement. We even go for industrial visits every semester.
Internships Opportunities :
I havent applied for any internships as of now. I will do it all in my sixth sem. Our college actually offers a one-year intership programme, I actually dont have a crystal clear idea about it, but from what I've heard if you apply for it you can graduate one year earlier if you apply for that programme. Which mean instead of four years it becomes three years.
Placement Experience :
Let me talk about my department. We get a solid packages ranging from 4lpa to 6lpa on an avergae. The highest is 12lpa. The more skills you've mastered & honed communication skills will easily land you in company you desire. Both mncs & indian companies come for college placements. The 2021 batch all who opted for placements got placed. Out of 60, 40 wanted placements and the rest wanted to do higher studies. All 40 got placed. The placement department is very co-ordinating & helpful. We have a course called placement training which started from 3rd sem, an outside org teaches you aptitutde questions & they train you. Our college is popular because of the packages offered in the it dept, the avg is 12lpa & highest is 46lpa. If you're worried about placements, dont because the college will make sur you will get placed. There are many companies that visit, both core & tech. 100% placement. Core comapnies that visits includes of adani, sobha, kashyap n sons, salapuria sattva, atkins etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I got admission in bmsit&m through kcet. We pay an average of 90000 every academic year(includes everything tuition fees & additional costs like lab fees, wifi etc). Irrespective of the branch you're in every student pays the same fees (kcet). But those who come under sc/st or obc have a great amount of concession in fees (1/6th of general fee). The admission process was smooth & there was no hassle. Now talking with respect to scholarships, yes our college & govt offers them. The college offers a very unique offer where the students who maintain a cgpa of 9.5 above can get a massive concession in the fees, they're termed as "Extra ordinary students" & from the govt side, sc/st obc students get certain amount of money from to pay the ffes & they get pendrives too. Now talking about the management fees, they're compartively low compared to other tier 2 colleges. My freinds pay 2 lakh for one academic year (civil engineering), the it departments range from 5 - 7 lakhs an academic year.
Campus Life :
We have students from all over india & outside, but majority are from karnatka. The events conducted are all very fun. Every even semester we have main college fest, I would rate 7.5/10. As a civil student every sem there's a unique event. In my 5th sem bis had come to college to organise an event, it was a memorable day. There are car & bike shows every year where students bring their vehicles compete against each other. We have all sorts of indoor sports, an indoor badminton court & a gym. Outdoor sports we've a bb court, kabaddi, 2 volleyball courts & a multi purpose mud ground for soccer & cricket. There are inter dept tournaments every year & inter college vtu touranaments. We have a massive library with books of all kinds for all engineering branches. Talking about the classrooms, they are massive (90 students) with projector screens cameras which means you cant copy during exams. I'm in the eco club. Theres more than 50 differnt clubs for differnt people of different interests .
Hostel Facilities :
I havent opted for hostel. My home is 20kms from college, so I go by my own transport. But freinds from kerala and north karnataka are in hostel and they say its nice. Food is great and wifi 24/7 300mbps. The hostel students seperately have their own fest, which I personally think is pretty cool. The boys hostel is in campus and the girls hsotel is 5km away from college.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
