- College is with a vast campus with buildings for each purpose like mbbs hostel, nursing hostel,both for boys and girls separate, medical college, 2 hospital buildings One with AHS and BPT college , canteen, Nursing college, 2 big grounds, and also has an engineering college that comes under same institute.
- As they provide hostel with good food and ambience, it's very easy for a newbie to survive. They provide an anti-ragging campus. As we have all the necessary Stores nearby, it's easy to buy necessary things.
Dislikes
- Since the college is vast have to walk from college to mess and it's difficult during lunch time as it is soo hot and sunlight outside.
- Canned water provided is not so purified as it can cause food infection. So better boil and drink.
Remarks :
I choose this college as it is one of the top college in India and is having a good vast campus. Also the campus itself contains hostel facilities for both boys and girls with enough security. Mess food provided by them is not too good but obviously much better than most of the hostels. They provide breakfast, lunch, evening tea/ coffee with snacks and dinner. Even restaurants, stationaries, medical stores, groceries, supermarket and everything needed are available nearby college. If wanted to stay outside, then furnished, semifurnished, or fully furnished rental rooms and PGs are also available nearby at reasonable rates. As the college is in Bangalore there are so many Hangout places and can enjoy night vibes only if not in hostel.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course as it provides good carrer options for job and higher education. And also more job opportunities are available. More scope in abroad.They improved faculties and academics far better now. They provide necessary facilities for each subjects and practicals for each department specifically. For optometry we have optometrist and other facilities for teaching. Even senior experienced docters are there to teach. Smart class, lab facilities and college for each courses like Allied, BPT, Nursing and MBBS are provided. 80% attendance is required to write university exams and have to write internals and models conducted by college for internal marks which is important. Final university exam will be conducted by Nov-Dec and inbetween supply exam will be conducted during Apr-May. It may vary. A written exam of 100 marks + 20 internal marks includes the total mark. 50% overall mark is required to pass the exam.
Internships Opportunities :
Can be work under any opticals and eye hospitals / clinics as opticians, Optometrist, or can teach. Can even opt for higher education like MSc, 1 year fellowship or PhD. Project have to be completed during final year i.e., during internship. Attending seminar and conferences as much as possible is better to have a good cv and job opportunities.
Placement Experience :
They don't provide any campus placements. This course is a total 4 yr course with 3 years study and 1 year internship with project in final year. We have to do the internship in our college only. Apart from that they don't provide any placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I paid 1 lakh per year for 3 years. Now the fees got reduced to 90k each year. An admission fee or university fee is about 15k paid during the time of admission. Exam fee has to be paid before exams that varies depending on no of subjects. Other courses like Cardiac Care Technology, Cardiac Perfusion Technology, Respiratory Care Technology has a fee structure of 1 lakh45k per year. If u opt for Hostel, a fee of 60k has to be paid each year and now it got increased to 75k. Apart from these other courses like Renal Dialysis Technology &Radiology (MIT) are also available for a same fee range. MLT is also available but for a lower fee structure like 50/75k.
Campus Life :
Culturals programme will be conducted every year. It includes a week of different days like ethnic, cinematic, western etc..on those days wear accordingly and can participate in different solo/ group programs. Students are divided into 4 groups in which they compete. Along with this comes sports that also extends for almost a week after or before culturals. And a final tournament for Chairman's trophy is also conducted after this. Apart from that, each department has there special days celebrated in departments like World Optometrist Day, Opthalmologist Day...for our department. Conference, seminars are also conducted in each department. They also celebrate pooja or navratri, Deepavali, etc . Now we started to celebrate onam and christmas and having christmas holidays.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel fees was 60k per year when I stayed. Now it got increased to 75k per year. Good is not so good but much better compared to most of the hostels. Hostel timings is 6am to 9 pm. If wanted to go out/ home on weekends or holidays or any other time, students have to get permission from principal, administrative officer and warden. Breakfast will be dosa or idli with sambar and chatney/ aaloo porota/ masala dosa/ puri/ batura. Also have some rice dishes each day. Lunch includs rice every day with some pulav/ ghee rice/and chapati everyday.. Evening snacks and tea/ coffee is available. Dinner includes 2 days non veg including one day biriyani one day kabab or curry , 2 day egg.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
