- Location - it is very far from city so hard to commute between city and college
- less cultural activities also in negative point as very less events are organised in college
Remarks :
This college is aloted by rajasthan counselling and MCC AIQ counselling . i have taken part in rajasthan counselling and opted this college for following factors - 1. Based on marks this was one of best college i can get 2. since my hometown is also barmer so it was very convenient for me to go college so i choose GMC barmer
Course Curriculum Overview :
Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery is a very long ( 5.5 years ) and big course having most numbers of subjects ( 19 subject ). There it take a lot of time dedication, patience and hard work to study . The number of faculty is not up to mark there are around 62% faculty post are empty , whereas only 38% are faculty only posted , but the study and learning is not compromised even with less faculty although there is more hard to make possible but all classes and clinical posting are taken time to time.
Internships Opportunities :
There is compulsory 1 year internship in all department of hospital in fixed weeks . rs 22,000 is intern stipend. and there is attendance record so we have to go to internship there is very holidays in between also stipend is paid late .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
GMC Barmer is Government college but it has two type of seats - 1. Government seat 2. management seat 1. Government - govt. seat tuition fees is ?69,000 per annum for session 2023. 2. Management seat fees- for mgmt seat there is ?8,68,000 fees per annum for session 23 OUt of 130 there are 65 management and 65 government seat. all other things are same in mgmt and govt seat except the fees and selection marks. for year 2023 govt. seat cut of for GMC Barmer was 625 whereas for mgmt it was 585 so approx 30-40 marks difference is observed in cut off.. The admission into 65 mgmt seats and 50 govt seat is through Rajasthan counselling whereas 20 seat are reserved through AIQ counselling. additional to tuition fee there is ?14000 for library and sports fee and also ?8900 for infrastructure development fund. Total mgmt fees- approx 9L and for govt seat - 89,000 per annum
Campus Life :
Campus is situated 7 km from city centre .. so it is quite far and in mid of desert, but the campus is well maintained and have all necessary buildings and blocks , all connected by road either mess or hostels or parking. The new hospital is almost finished and soon will be started therefore new shops and restaurant are increasing near college there fore making college life more entertained. Gym and library facilities are available in college. even college have all necessary infrastructure built there are few more buildings are still under construction in campus.
Hostel Facilities :
mess food is very good , hostel also well built and have clean washroom but there is no furniture in rooms also electricty bill is taken other then hostel fee which is 10,000 per year . there is 4 story separate hostels both for girls and boys . there is also resident hostel having flats

I am not into placement and job opportunities by my course I am preparing for a government exam hence I need a degree for that On the other hand as it is a government college There are high chances of placements with good packages

I heard that btech is no one here for academics and placements for women so its worth it. There are lots of sports opportunities wherever you want you can achieve like horse riding squash etc. theres aviation as well for the girls to fly and achieve their dreams

Yes, students had gotten placements via college in banking and private companies because after completing graduation i also got an opportunity through college but due to some circumstances, i hadn’t got that chance.

You just have to be a student of last year for applying in internship programs and placements. You have to master any skill and then you can get placement. Many small companies helds campaigns in the university and appoint students for job. The average package is around 20-30 per annum. The highest is around 40 to 50 lakh and lowest is around 10 to 20 lakh per annum. 60% of students gets placement in companies . My plans after getting the degree are to master a skill and then apply for a job in a well known company.

I really don't like placement of jecrc bcoz I don't see mt senior going to a great company out campus they are achieving good but in our campus we don't really get into good company they should have increased the number of companies in our college

There is no campus placement here. Students who passed out from here some are finding jobs, some had their good family business and just wanted to get a degree and some started their own startup. College don't provide you any future security.
