- Furniture is not according to ergonomics. I wish it is regarding to every person and height the infrastructure is very much kind to everyone but furniture can seriously improve.
- Faculty can explain a bit more easy too about they want our designs and how to improve more
Remarks :
I chose this college due to it's good reputation about being the good one in visakhapatnam and close to where I live. I did face some discussions about its a new world and we can't survive a competitive world as this and there's no placement too, since this is a professional course everything depends on your works and networking. I've written NATA and scored 142/200. And if anyone scored abouve 140 is eligible for 100% scholarship.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is quite fine after experiencing, at first it felt overwhelming and too much but gradually I understood it's all for a reason and part of learning. Academics is really good but you really ask everything. No matter ask about it and get to know it. Faculty are friendly too. Always opt for senior faculty for doubts and discussions. They truly know so much better. I choose this course for my love for designing. All faculty are B.Arch and M.Arch graduates and few in PhD. Teaching methods can be simplified a bit more. We have only one mid after a one and a half month of semester and later another one and a half is the sem end examinations. The difficulty is moderate.
Placement Experience :
We do have job opportunities and placements but there's no officiality in it.. its based on us itself. If your work is good that skill is enough fornyou to land on a job with connections. Recruiters can our own seniors and faculty. My plans would be after graduation I will work under a firm for 2 years and later do my masters and work there for a good time and come back and set up a firm... This is almost everyone plan... Apart architecture we can do many things choosing this course. Cloud architect, graphic designer, product designer, event manager, landscape architect, city planner and what not.. opportunities are many. You just gotta listen to your heart and go on.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I'm a 100% scholarship student so my fee for first year is total free and I don't need to pay 2,17,500 per year and to continue this scholarship I need to maintain my cgpa and attendance 8.0+ for upcoming years to be a scholarship student, there are other scholarships like almuni, staff, JEE MAINS and NATA and even sports ranging from 15%(mandatory), 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. There are additional expenses like stationary and transportation and study tour visits and organisation fee to be in part of igbc and other 2.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very good but it's hard maintaining it as an architecture student because the work load in this course can't compromise. It gives a rare college life but still a very memorable one. Studies come first you yourself would choose to not go and complete the assignments. Social life within dept is always good but outside it is tricky. There are many clubs you can join as many as you can, but you have to maintain it along with classes. So need to choose wisely. Infrastructure is good but can be better in many ways. Fests are mostly in december, novembers the ending months of a year. Books and e books are available and can be borrowed for 2 weeks and renewed for other 2 weeks. Smtg or the event of sports and extra curricular will be conducting all the time. There are many clubs and dept clubs which help grow our skills be it film, photography, art , dance and music. There is student life which is by students and student and parent portal by gitam itself for academics.

Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.

The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.

Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.

In my college,the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.

Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.

Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
