Likes
- There is no students union at all. The students part is very less. Even the mess committee is not elected. They are just selected by some interview and students from South were not even given a chance just because they can't speak Hindi fluently. Also for many events South students were not given opportunities for which they are actually eligible to. This majorly happens in sports side also.
- The food quality is not at all nice that too in our mess .i.e. Aurobindo mess, which is a private mess .i.e. the contract is given to private firms. It is really bad where as some hostels which are government mess they are bit better and students are not even allowed to eat in other messes. They have to pay if they wanted to do so. Even new hostel H-15 mess is also worst where most of the 1st year students stay. Just imagine students just come to the college keeping high hopes and see food which is worse. Some students may also get traumatised due to it because they come from really long distances.
Dislikes
- Coming to academics there no coding culture at all which is key to enhance each others skills. Where many colleges have coding culture which helps their students to enhance their skills.
- Also the curriculum is one of the best out there but which is also a very big drawback due to the order of placement of courses. Students were being taught the important subjects at the time when they are not aware of the importance of that subjects.
Remarks :
The criteria to get into this college was solely by getting good marks in JEE Mains examination, there is no other way for it. I personally got 99.45 percentile through which I can even get NIT Calicut CSE. But I preferred this college over that. Actually I've took that decision solely based on my gut feeling and no other factors since both the colleges seem same level. And yes there is no such kind of interview or group discussions, the admission is solely based on our JEE Mains score.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am studying 3rd year in BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. According to curriculum it is one of the best curriculums out there, like literally we are studying some of the subjects in 2nd and 3rd years itself which were even not taught in some of the colleges even in 4 years. But that also have a big drawback because we just study those subjects and don't go to the depth. Yes, going to depth is student part but student should get to know that the subject is important and he/she have to go to depth for that subject right. We studied DSA in our 1st year itself when we don't even know what is DSA and which is very important so we just studied it not going into depth which we are regretting now. If the subject was only kept in 4th semester or likely we might studied it in depth according to academics itself. And coming to faculty some are very passionate about teaching but many are not at least for many students perspective.
Internships Opportunities :
Many companies visit our campus offering internship opportunities. But just like any other colleges the internship offers percentage is around 20%. Companies like Arcesium, Wellsfargo, Expedia, etc. visited our campus offering a very good stipend. Some companies offered over 1 Lakh and some 40,000,etc. Most of them came for SDE role and some for Data analyst and some for risk management, finance, etc.
Placement Experience :
The placements in the previous year were just average just like any other college out there. But according to what I've heard from my seniors the placements were so good for their seniors. Also this year it is a bit better compared to last year though the packages were not so great at least students were getting placed. Many companies have visited this year like Zomato, Wellsfargo, etc. The highest package till now is 52LPA and the percentage of students placed is around 65% till now. But according to previous year it is approximately 74%. If not get a placement you can try outside of the campus where we can standout because of the college from which we are graduated from .i.e. NIT tag, so even there we have a slight positive edge.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fees is ?62,500 per semester and the Institute fees is approximately ?18,000 and the hostel fees is ?32,000 per semester in which the students of family annual income below 1 Lakh will get a 100% wavier for tuition fees that is ?62,500 and students with family annual income between ?2,00,000 and ?5,00,000 will get a 66% wavier for tuition fees after providing proper documents. For the first semester the hostel fees will be ?47,000 because ?15,000 will be collected as caution fees which is one time and refundable fees. Also students can apply for many scholarships which are available and college itself notify about many scholarships.
Campus Life :
The infrastructure of our campus is literally one of the best infrastructures out there. It is one of our college's key strengths. The lecture theatre in our campus is Asia's largest lecture hall where approximately 5,000 students can attend their classes at a time. There will be mainly 2 fests in the college. One is Sphinx, the technical fest which will be held in November and other is Blitzschlag, the cultural fest which will be held on February. All the students activities like fees payment, internships opportunities, grades can be accessed through ERP portal. The clubs are less active and there are only few clubs that are active, some of them are Think India, Mavericks, etc. When it comes to sports I personally am not so interested in sports but yes the sports and extracurricular activities here are also good every year we conduct a sports tournament named MST which is largest sports tournament in Rajasthan in which students from many colleges participate.
Hostel Facilities :
In the first year I was allotted the H-14(Vinodini) hostel which is literally awesome with the capacity of 950+ students, the rooms were big and clean the ambience is also very quite and pleasant it was quite a very good hostel which is now allotted to girls. Actually first year students will be allotted triple sharing rooms .i.e. each room is shared by 3 students and after that .i.e. from 2nd year each student will get a single room .i.e. one student per room which allows student to focus without distractions. Students can go to friends rooms to engage to keep themselves from feeling lonely. Yeah, and now coming to my experience from 2nd year, in 2nd year I was allotted the Aurobindo hostel (H-9) which is inaugurated by former president of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam sir. The rooms were big and a vibe which we get while staying in a boys hostel. This also have a capacity of 950+ students. But the food here is quite disappointing. Actually not so good and sometimes even worse.

I heard that btech is no one here for academics and placements for women so its worth it. There are lots of sports opportunities wherever you want you can achieve like horse riding squash etc. theres aviation as well for the girls to fly and achieve their dreams

You just have to be a student of last year for applying in internship programs and placements. You have to master any skill and then you can get placement. Many small companies helds campaigns in the university and appoint students for job. The average package is around 20-30 per annum. The highest is around 40 to 50 lakh and lowest is around 10 to 20 lakh per annum. 60% of students gets placement in companies . My plans after getting the degree are to master a skill and then apply for a job in a well known company.

Campus recruitment training is provided to all course students and it depends on the student whether they want to opt for it or not. After CRT, different companies come to the campus for their recruitment drive.

There is no campus placement here. Students who passed out from here some are finding jobs, some had their good family business and just wanted to get a degree and some started their own startup. College don't provide you any future security.
